  1. Heya!

I would like to have an mp4 video play in the background on my title screen, instead of a static image.
I've tried multiple plugins but none of them work. Possibly because they are out of date, does anyone know a plugin or a way
    to make this work?
  2. I've tried using Lavra's plugin, but all it does, is create a loading screen upon starting that never does anything.
All it says is "Now loading..."
Am I doing it wrong or?
  3. have you followed all instructions in the plugin?
  4. Well I got closer to making it work.
I refollowed the steps of the plugin, and now it loads fine.
Except that the video that's supposed to be playing, is just a static image of the first frame and doesn't move.
  5. Follow these steps. (and dont forget to drop me a like after ;-p

1 - Open up database, open up system - make sure title screen is set to none and untick Draw
2 - make sure file is called "movies" and is an MP4 version + WEBM version and both videos are located in the movies folder of your project.
3 - move lavra title plugin to the top of your plugin list and turn off any other plugins you are using for your title screen (just to be sure of no conflict) i.e if you're using moghunter titles, it will mess it up.
  6. It sounds like your file format FYI.

4 - You can use an online converter, make sure you're using the correct settings for WEBM and MP4 versions as per RPGM requirements for these video types.
  7. I've followed every step, but the image is still static.
But there is audio, so I'm not sure wether it's the file itself or something else?
  8. have you set there to be bg music on your title screen from within the database, system settings?
  9. Also Lavra gives you a test file. Does that one work for you?
  10. Nope, it's quite clearly the audio from the video itself.
    Quite odd :p
  11. hmmm... my best guess would the file format then.

Try an online converter. Make sure you got both WebM and MP4 in the folder with exact same file names - 100%

Then do some research in to the correct settings for such things with RPGM.

You're nearly there. Trust me it works.. got it working here right now ;-p
  12. Hmm, I did as you suggested.
Though I'm still stuck at the first frame in the main menu, but when I try to load the movie in-game through an event, it did work perfectly.
  13. Try switching off other plugins please, then reload
  14. Aha!

What version of RPGMV are you using there?

And what version of Lavra Video plugin too plz?
  15. I'm using 1.6.1 on OSX (Recently updated, like 3 days ago)
And for the plugin I'm using 1.01 (As it says in the plugin settings itself)
  16. I am on Lavra 1.3.4

Some people do mention conflict with the later versions of RPGMV inside the Lavra thread..

Start by updating the Lavra plugin to the latest version, let me know if that works.

    It's here..

  17. My man!

    You fixed it!
Though I suggest changing the code you pasted above there. Luckily I'm an IT student, so I know my way around with code a little, and realized you put the same code in there as the original. But I did some digging and found what you wanted to link, and used that to replace the original file, and now it works!

Here's that like you wanted, you earned it double time <3

Updated the spoiler link, so this now links to the latest version of Lavra above.

Glad you got it working and thanks for the "like", good luck with your project!
