Victor Engine Followup Skill Only On Hit

  1. I'm using the Followup Skills plugin, by Victor Sant, among other aspects of the Victor Engine, and have so far been stumped as to how to achieve my current goal: An attack skill that, if it hits, summons a followup skill, and does not do so if it misses. The specific example at the moment is an enemy with a poisonous weapon; their attack deals damage, and then, if it hits, there would be a chance for the target to gain a poisoned state. I suspect this can be achieved with the Custom Followup Skill note and some code, but I'm not sure how to go about it, so any assistance would be appreciated.

    Alternatively, if anyone can point me towards a better way of achieving what I'm after, I'm all ears!
  2. I may be getting confused on what you’re asking here..

    Did you see Drifty video on bleed effects? You can set the % chance of success of the state being added too.
