The game starts with Varas as a 7 years old boy, living a simple life in Hope Village.
While playing with his friends, he discovers the cave where his grandfather had hid the Hybrid Orb of Darkness, an artifact created with energy of the Orb of Darkness.By discovering the Orb, the power of his family awakens in him: Channeling the powers of the Elemental Orbs.
8 years later, an organisation called 'The Thieves' find out about Varas' special ability.
They take him to Faeyth, the capital of Lagrah, and convince him to train with them and put his powers to use while workin for them.

Based on a variety of famous games such as the 'Final Fantasy' and 'Tales of' series, both veterans and newcomers to the JRPG-genre will certainly enjoy every minute of Varas - Legend of a Thief.
The game lets you enjoy several unique features such as:
- Over 100 unique locations, ranging from cities to meadows and from forests to dungeons.
- Over 7 hours of fun with an equal amount of sidequests planned.
- Unique and replayable missions, puzzles and minigames.
- 8 different ending based on the choices you make throughout the game.
- A unique disguising system with over 25 different disguises to choose from. Every disguise affects your gameplay in a different way.
Choosing the wrong disguise can ruin your mission and make enemies go all-out on you, while others may give you a huge advantage.

Skilled Thief, reqruited by The Organisation at the tender age of 15.
He has the ability to absord the power of Elemental Orbs and channel them.
His weapon of choice is a dagger.
Anna Fourier
Master in the art of swordfighting. She is Varas' childhood friend and helps him in his quest to collect the powers of all the orbs.
Although she can't stand Varas being a Thief, she sometimes helps him during his heists.
Her weapon of choice is the sword.
Jack Frost
One of the best Thieves in The Organisation. He is Varas' mentor, and helps him during his journey.
Not much is known about him and although everyone knows Jack Frost isn't his real name, they call him that anyway.
His weapons of choice are a mace and a gun.
Ike
Varas' pet mouse. He is very intelligent and can understand Varas as no other.
He comes in handy during puzzles or in small places the party can't enter.
