Uploading NPC

    I'm trying to upload this image to use as a boss character (http://i286.photobucket.com/albums/ll95/miro_666/queen.png), and when I download and upload it onto RPGmaker Ace it is a PNG, but it still has a white background. What am I doing wrong?

    Also, how can I make the NPC be bigger than the usual NPC? When I try to create an event with it it's forcing it to be 1x2 rather than the desired 3x4. What should I do? Thanks

    The sprite use 4x4 format, so crop it to 3x4 format. After that, put $ in the beginning of the name of it. i.e, "$queen.png".
    As for transparency, you either edit it in image editor program, or use import resources, then click the white one. Not all PNG are transparent by default.
