I don't mean to be harsh. Just posting my observations.I think you are being a little harsh there. I'll pm you to discuss this.
I'm just adding relevant information for prospective team members to take into consideration when thinking about joining your team. There management is a team of two. I fail to see why you're bashing the project? If you're not interested, why are you posting?
Anyways. I'm sorry that I was harsh.
Best of luck with your Project! -
Calianna - Ok, I will ensure that wont happen again
I can assure you, it did say 'FREE' last night when I posted this. I made sure it did because I didn't want to mislead anybody.I don't mean to be harsh. Just posting my observations. I don't want people to be misled...
I'm just adding relevant information for prospective team members to take into consideration when thinking about joining your team. I'm glad I did it when I did... since you've taken your YouTube videos down.
Anyways. I'm sorry that I was harsh. Also, that tag wasn't there before. B)
Best of luck with your Project!
edit: Also... you never answered my question.
1. What does level designer encompass?
---Is it simply creating maps? Does it deal with logistics such as encounter rate, plot flow, event placement etc?
2. What does "sprite-video maker" encompass?
Anyway,
I'm looking for designers to create maps & deal with setting up an encounter-rate, event placement, triggers for cut-scenes etc.
A sprite video maker, or producer will be creating a cut-scene which will trigger at certain points during the game. The sprite video producer will pass the clips over to the Lead game designers and the videos will be placed in the game as and when appropriate.

Sorry, I must've missed it.I can assure you, it did say 'FREE' last night when I posted this. I made sure it did because I didn't want to mislead anybody.
Thanks for the clarification! -
Tip: you're totally missing the database workers. Database work takes a huge chunk of development in rpgs, so if you're expecting the level designers to do it, you should say so (and you're probably giving them way too much work if that's the case). Of maybe you already have those members? It's not very clear.
On a minor note: naming a team/studio after yourself when more people work in it sounds a bit selfish and arrogant, even if that's not your inent.
Good luck with finding helpers and your project. -
@Indrah: I think they chose their forum nickname based on the studio name instead of the other way around. If I'm not mistaken, the studio name is a mash of Simon and Paul (si-pa-c) - the team founders, though I'm not sure what the "c" stands for. :)
@sipac: Good luck with your project! One of the biggest challenges of working with a team is finding people who are both dedicated and readily available. -
I know Paul's last name starts with a 'C'.the team founders, though I'm not sure what the "c" stands for. :)
Indeed! Best of luck Simon!@sipac: Good luck with your project! One of the biggest challenges of working with a team is finding people who are both dedicated and readily available. -
Ohh, in that case I've said nothin :x@Indrah: I think they chose their forum nickname based on the studio name instead of the other way around. If I'm not mistaken, the studio name is a mash of Simon and Paul (si-pa-c) - the team founders, though I'm not sure what the "c" stands for. :)

To be 100% honest, the name Sipac Productions is kinda irrelevant to myself and Paul.
We just wanted a quick, easy, catchy name that we can use whilst the project is very early in the dev stages. It can and probably will change in future.
You're right, I do need people to work on the database. I'll add that in, I have had alot of stuff to do and it slipped my mind :p
Thanks for the advice everyone. -
update - Now a paid project. Work on the game will commence at the end of September and game will be in development for 1 yr, due for release in Dec, 2013.
