Not sure exactly how this behaves from the screenshot, have you got a video link instead?
Is it possible to make something like this with Unpro plugin???
Just create the graphics you want, and then set the transparency and then make it your top layer, the plugin will give water effect behavior.. (I haven't actually tried this fyi, but might give you the desired effect anyhow!) or drop us the video link?
Best of luck with your project! -
Hey. Thanks for the fast reply.
Here's the video but it's for rpg maker vx ace.
Just next to 1:50. -
That looks like an overlay or fog script that has to water ripple images, one going left the other right and the sunrays are a show picture command.

I think that effect can be created in the base game with tinting, and THREE picture events (you might be able to use the same image for both). Just make the image event parallel, with an "A" self switch to allow for disabling them.
Another option is to use Galv's Layers to control the images, which takes a little more set-up-but I believe is better overall. Galv's plugin allows the maker to define maps with those kinds of overlays off-map, which would improve overall performance. -
pictures? so the sunlight and water ripples are images?

Ok so my suggestion/idea involves using a graphic edit program like gimp and may be a tad demanding as far as rendering goes. I have made up to 15 square by 15 square events using the A tile water tiles, erasing them to about 20-30% of their opacity so very see though. So to set it up you would open an a-tile with the water tile you want to use. Now you want to choose the center of the 4x4 block of each one and use that for your template in the LH, Middle and RH character blocks ( The three step animation blocks.) Now when you set up your event on screen, set it to stepping animation, direction fix, above characters. So now you r water will ripple above you and you can carry on with whatever mapping you want to do. Maybe I skipped too many steps for you to follow what I mean, but the idea works. I have done it in my project several times. message me if you need more info.

Could someone please give me the pictures and a tutorial of how to do this? I'd like to use it for my own game.

@John1991 I have deleted your second post which more or less said the same thing as your first.
Please do not hi-jack a thread, that is, come in on a thread posted by someone else with your own query. If you follow the replies here, you already have all the information you need. If you need a separate picture, because the method described by IguanaGuy in post #7 doesn't work for you, then post a thread in this section of the forum.
