    Gameplay:

    Spoiler
My game uses the GTBS battle system. This is a very powerful script that allows battles like FF Tactics. It has way more strategies than any other game battle system. The player needs to position himself correctly to be efficient and uses the right spells depending on the monsters positioning. The only down side is that battles can last a bit longer which is why the party only has 2/3 heroes and the random monster troops have 6 monsters maximum. This can be changed easily of course for special battles. My game has the most complex random monster encounters of all games. Each monster has a level ranging from 1 to 30 and an elemental type. There are in total 27 unique monsters with special abilities each and different weakness and strengths. In total, there are about 5000 monsters in the database that can generate over 6 trillion different BALANCED battles. (Over 72.3 x 10 ^27 battles if you include unbalanced ones.)

Monsters typing are also influenced by the environment For example; a Fire environment will generate more Fire Monsters than Water monsters.

Monsters levels are affected by the party level but also on the difficulty set: Easy, Normal, Hard and Impossible (needs to be unlocked first.)

    General Party Strategy:

    MAGE:

Mage Spells: By leveling up, the mage can unlock new spells with different effects, range of effect and typing. Once a spell is unlocked, the mage can then learn it via his spell book. Only a certain amount of spells can be learnt at the same time depending on his level. If he wants to learn new spells that he had unlocked before, he can forget the older ones.

The mage has a quick access to elemental damage. Effectively, he can select an elemental spell and cast it right away if he has learnt it. However, he is restricted to the spells he had learnt and can be stuck against special enemies. He must make sure to have an efficient spells combination. His spells have different range of effects and he must use then wisely to deal the most damage. The mage doesn’t have a lot of HP so he must rely mostly on his Familiar and only the Warrior to protect him. Finally, he has access to a special healing spell that can be casted from a distance but it doesn’t heal much.

    WARRIOR:

Warrior Attacks: The warrior attacks are mainly based on his weapon. Each of them has special ability that can be useful depending on how the battle goes:

    Dagger: +2 Move Range

    Sword: Highest Damage

    Longsword: Hit farther

    Warhammer: 2H. 1 Splash

Spear: 2H. 3 Range and attack all enemies in the same line

Flail: 2H. Attack enemies around the player. (1 Splash)

Each weapon has also a mastery level that can be increased by leveling up and that will increase the damage dealt.

The warrior also has access to a special spell called Weapon Imbue. Basically, it will add a certain elemental damage to his weapon which will cause way more damage if set wisely. Unlike the Mage, the warrior has access at any time to every elemental type. He isn’t restricted to a certain amount of spells. His elemental attacks are also more powerful but he needs to waste of battle rounds to imbue his weapon.

Furthermore, at any moment, the Warrior can use the spell Weapon Swap to change his weapon for a more efficient one to deal with the current situation. Swapping weapon doesn’t waste his battle round. This means he can still attack afterwards. If they are monsters far away, he will switch for a dagger, otherwise he won’t be able to deal damage this round. If enemies are close to each other, he will switch for a Hammer and if they are lined up, he will switch for a Flail. Unlike the Mage, if the warrior wants to adapt his attacks correctly with the right area of effect, he will need to switch weapon first then attack. Even if he doesn’t waste any turn doing so, it means that if he wants to have a large collection of area of attack, he will need to invest a lot of money in different weapons. Also, by switching weapon, he loses his Weapon imbue.

The warrior has a lot of HP and must use them to protect the mage which is weak. He also has access to a very good healing spell but he must to next to the target to use it.

    FAMILIAR:

The familiar can be summoned by the Mage and will act as another hero. His job is to simply tank the attacks and block the path of the monsters to protect the mage mostly. He doesn’t have a lot of life but if used correctly, he can be very useful. He is also totally healed when the battle is over. He doesn’t have any attack.

What if you were the one who wanted to forget? What if this was all part of the plan?Characters:

    Wilian:

Wilian is smart and able to pull off complex strategy quickly. He knows how to get information and manipulate others to get what he wants. He is quite radical in his behaviour: everything for him is either totally white or totally black. He easily goes overboard. When he wants something, he would do anything to get it.

    STORYLINE SPOILER:

    You really want to know...?

He was born in Yocke and was the son of a slave. However, he wasn’t destined to become like his father: he somehow managed to escape from the slave camp and avoid the life of slavery. Wilian grew up in Triskal and wanted to become a soldier to restore peace in the world. Unfortunately, because of his spicy personality, his candidature was rejected. Furious, he decided to change the world on his own. He founded the Utopia Clan which goal was to eliminate discrimination and establish an era of peace.
    Xanros:

Xanros received the task to protect Wilian at all cost. His duties and his responsibilities come before everything else and he would offer his life to complete them. Expert in magic, he uses combat spells to tear off his enemies but can also use healing spells to help his allies.

    STORYLINE SPOILER:

    Spoiler
    You really want to know...?

Recruited by the Utopia Clan when he was young, he quickly climbed up in the clan hierarchy thanks to his discipline and combat efficiency.
    Geography:

The story takes place in a continent called Drakor, divide in 10 regions ruled by a king each.

    Spoiler
NOTE: THIS IS NOT THE WORLD MAP THAT WILL BE IN MY GAME. ITS ONLY PURPOSE IS TO HELP YOU VISUALISE THE WORLD. I DREW THAT IN 10 MINUTES.
    Vardah:

    rAJg-xsmG0o

Vardah is the peaceful village where Wilian started his journey. The city is surrounded by an important forest, base of the village’s economic industry. Vardah used to be a big town, famous for his mystical unique creatures and his mysterious woods. However, it started to slowly but surely lose his economic power and his status of world power. Effectively, the demand for woods decreased over time, giving way to metal and stone products. Becoming emptier every day, Vardah decided to refocus his economy on a new market: artisanal creations and fancy decorations. But still, many people felt the need to move to Mellow seeking new jobs.

    Mellow:

North of Vardah, on the west side of Drakor, Mellow is known for his devastator tornados and extremely windy conditions. No surprise the city invested in developing in eolian technology. With the sudden increased need in energy all around the globe, the city started growing very fast. Quickly building a new electric central and expanding the city to welcome more workers, Mellow still can’t meet the never stopping demand in energy. Even if the town keeps getting overpopulated, the king does everything he can to continue his expansion and attract more and more labor.

    Caderrak:

Located north of Mellow is Caderrak, the pantry of the world. Effectively, thanks to the nearby Cinderash Volcano, Caderrak is the most fertile land of all Drakor. From potatoes to rare medicinal herbs, everything grows there. The whole population’s only preoccupations are to maintain this ancestral farming tradition, but also to party! The town is famous for holding his year-long Carnival where everyone can celebrate and forget about their duties. Caderrak is also the only city who doesn’t have his own army. Effectively, his inhabitants prefer working on the field rather than on the battlefield. Instead, an alliance with Mellow was signed, offering military protection against food rations, since Mellow is not able to feed alone his fast growing population.

    Whystir:

Situated directly to the side of Cinderash Volcano, the town is probably the most unique and most dangerous city of Drakor. It is inhabited by both humans and Fire Spirits, a mysterious creature emerged from the Volcano millions of years ago. Humans assured their protection for centuries already while in returns, the Spirits taught men fire knowledge allowing them to create custom items such as bombs and explosives. It quickly became the village’s speciality. Unfortunately, the Volcano activity seems to have strangely lowered recently and could put a shadow on the town’s future.

    Yocke:

Yocke used to be ruled by an ambitious king who didn’t have much mercy over his subjects. Its economy was based exclusively on collecting the precious ores and minerals from the mines next to the village. To accelerate the production and increase the income, the king allowed the use of slaves. Imprisoned in concentration camps, this cheap labor had minimal life conditions. Few years, a group of revolutionaries unified their force to put a term at the king’s tyranny. They managed to murder him and destroy the walls surrounding the camp, freeing everyone. The city didn’t stay in peace for long though. Soon after the city fortification destruction, Rellury invaded the defenceless town which fell under its control. Rellury and Yocke are now ruled by the same king. After experiencing war and submission for so many years, Yocke people are very discrete and careful. They have learnt that to survive, they need to think about themselves rather than for others. Outlanders are not well seen at all in this town.

    Rellury:

After Yocke has been destroyed, Rellury quickly took control of the town to expand its territory and increase his economic power at the same time. Rellury people are elitist and perfectionist. Expert in combat and organized, the town tries its best to become a world power. The last years, the city didn’t have enough population to get this title but now, with the conquest of Yocke, this is about to change. Rellury’s economy is based on raw material transformation coming from Yocke mines and Vardah forest mostly. They are leading in many technologic domains but Rellury is still down looked over Triskal, who is still considered to be the biggest and strongest citadel. This is unacceptable for the ambitious and very competitive king. The town diplomatic relation with the Dwarfs from Forthum has also seen better days because the king simply can’t stand that they are making better weapons than him. Living in Rellury is very demanding and there is no mercy for those who are not strong or efficient enough.

    Forthum:

Cut from the rest of the whole, Forthum lays on the very top of the Frawd Icy Mountain, in the north east of Drakor. The city is owned by Dwarfs who wanted to keep their old Dwarf traditions. They have a totally different way to see politics and criminality. Because getting there is very hard, little to no human visits them. And anyway, visitors are not welcome on the Dwarf territory. Only reason some people actually go there is to buy their famous weapons known to be the best in all Drakor. Since they are cut and aren’t involved with others, they have developed brilliant ways to optimize their limited resources.

    Muncraig:

Even though Muncraig is officially ruled by a king, everybody knows that the Shadow Killer Clan is the one who really has the control over the city. Next to the ocean, the town’s economy is based on exportation all around the globe. Managed by the clan, the seaport is used as a front to sell and trade stolen goods. Most people in Muncraig are very poor, victim of the clan domination. Corruption and omnipresent violence doesn’t help the situation either.

    Surren:

Surren is located on an isle, south east of the main continent. Half desert and half poisoned swamp, Surren’s resources are very limited. In addition to the highly expensive cost for transport oversea, the town has no one to trade with. Because not many people actually went to Surren, nothing much is known about it. Many rumors and myths are running about the isle, especially about its sacred mountain on the very edge of the sea.

    Triskal:

Triskal is by far the biggest, most populated and most developed city of Drakor. Surrounded by water, his fortress and castle offer the best protection. Due to its status of first world power, Triskal assures peace all over the continent and acts as a mediator. His economy is solid and attracts most rich merchants. However, this popularity has a cost: the competition between trades is intense and standing out of the crowd is nearly impossible. Many people hoping for better life conditions head to Triskal only to face a wall. Unlike other cities, Triskal bears interest into arts. It is also the only town to offer Magic Training.

I am currently looking for a team for my project. My game will be big and therefore, it requires a big team.

    Scripter:

A part of your job will be to create few multiple window screens for:

    -Mage’s Spells Management

    -Warrior’s Weapon Imbue Management

    -Area Quest Tab

You will also need to modify few parts of the script to:

-Cast a spell when using a certain weapon ID

-Do not spend a battle turn when using a certain spell ID (Note: The script is already made but needs to be imported correctly to the game.)

    Dialogue Writer:

Write and manage the dialogues and different cutscenes of the game.

    Spriter:

Your job will be to animate a series of sprites. They are already made with their idle and walking stances but I’d like to add Attack Sprite animations. There will be about 30 monsters to do and 2 heroes characters.

    Database Helper:

Your job will be to create and manage the database; the most important part is the monster database. Note: 1/3 of the monsters are already created.

    Interiour Mapper:

Your job will be to create houses for different villages that are interesting and diversified.
  2. Looks like it's gonna be a nice game!

I could help with two things:

-Dialogue writing: Maybe my best part of making games, since I have almost no coding knowledge.

-Interiour Mapper: I also like to make maps and stuff, so Interiour could fit well.

But that wil only work good with good Tile Packs, because otherwise there isn't much variety.

I see that you already have a big story, I have no time to read it now,

but that is really helping in writing dialogues.

I hope I can help you!

PS: Sorry for bad english, I'm from Holland

PPS:Is it going to be a paid game?
  3. Perfect :D

I will PM you with the details.

And no, it won't be a paid game.

Do you have and know how to use Drop Box?
