    What I would love to have is a simple UI overlay plugin that allows the display of text, buttons and images on the screen which can trigger common events when they are clicked/touched.

    I think that would open a huge range of possibilities especially for mobile.

    It would be great to be able to put an icon on the screen that opens the menu (a basic example that would improve the experience on mobile considerably.)

    I would propose plugin commands a bit like this:

    -Display Image (layer, picture name, position x, position y, on click common event)

    -Remove Image (layer)

    -Display Text (layer, "text to display", font size, foreground colour, background colour, on click common event)

    -Remove Text (layer)
