Tournament of the Ages

Tournament of the Ages is my first finished game. It is very simply an idea on an rpg tournament, you have no real storyline to it, you are entered into a tournament and you must run through a chain of battles. You begin the game at level 49 to give you some help but as you progress in the tournament the battles become tougher, the game finishes when you have to face an ultra powerful alternate version of the main character. I will be honest, I have been playing this game on and off for the last 3 weeks and no matter what strategy I employ, I have not been able to beat the final boss, even if you took the time running through all the high level monsters to reach level 99 be prepared to fight for no less than an hour. Boss has insane hp and some serious attack power. You are provided with opportunities to pick up a few items for the battle, if you don't take the time to pick them up you will not be able to beat the game. Game play is at least an hour if you choose to go the quick route and only run through the monsters once, if you wish to level up be prepared to play about 6 hours if not longer, especially considering the final boss. Final Boss battle yields no reward but a message, if you manage to get that far I won't spoil it for you. Go ahead and see if you can somehow make it all the way through the tournament, glory awaits as whoever beats it, will be able to say they likely beat the creator of the game to it.

The Ultimate battle

That is really really REALLY bad if not even you the creator can defeat the final boss! If the creator can't beat it, then pretty much no one can! That's like the creators of Diablo III No one yet has beaten the game on the hardest difficulty! (I'm not to sure about now, I have not heard any news on it). And the reward is meaningless other than the self satisfaction! I shall give this a try. I've been playing Final Fantasy IX so I've been having good luck streaks..and I'm itching for a hard game since Castlevania 3.

lol, yeah, I am at level 51 right now with all my guys and fighting the final boss, I have been fighting him for an hour now and I have managed to do about 50,000 damage. Between him killing off my guys every turn or every other turn and him doing more damage with a normal attack than any of my characters have in life and his go to turn being a straight attack, it is not going so well. But have fun, you will be fighting for a long time.
