Those Darn Cobblestones

I'm trying to work with the cobblestones in Exterior Tileset A that come with the nift border... but once they are laid out and I attempt to build a house on them, the house becomes outlined by stones. Is there any way to stop this from happening, or is there an alternative that looks the same, but without the border and I'm just not seeing it?
