Made with Busted Ed's tips and tricks for rpgmaker vx ace

    Wandering these wide waters
    Were Jolnir
Illspoken was that sorry old owl
You want the blessing of the Noble Assembly?
    They spoke of much together
He pointed, he followed, much they did together
The boat went were the fishes were
Near the vortex of whirling teeth

Vandrande på vattnet fann han nu
    Julens fader

Byleif on the iland of Denugeira

    Specialsköld står på skalet
    Modigt, manligt stormar han
    Kaninernas kung fann porten
Där den gamle Plygg satt och tuggade
    Väderpålen var som Advas arm
    Styrka gick i olika riktningar
    Storverk skedde i Denugeira men
    Dropparna fyller det tysta berget

A harsh special shield made out of shells
    Daring, Darling, lifting gear
Byleif the bold found the gate
    The ever-chewing Plygg was king
The tower was like the horns of the strong one
    Strenght goes in opposite directions
    Sturverki the goer
Then the drops fill the silent mountain

The weathervane shone like the glorious gods
Five stories were the great assembly
The horns of the powerful ones were steely rods
But the skeleton king was not too friendly
A glimmer of light from the One below all
With houses for both the low and tall
The sons of Tymor are at play
Byleif was joyous, rambunctious and gay

    Byleif in the pirate's graveyard

On the grassy knoll Byleif sat
This is were the map points next!
He consulted his chart once more
The treasure is soon to be mine!
The winds whirled a secret code
Give me good wind to the north!
    Instead he drifted east
This cloud seems like a heavy hitter!

"This is where my story ends
Other must now tell the tales
Locks I put upon my treasure
So that all may be told correctly
This is the end of our journey
Byleif built his burrow as was told
I look forward to a cold fountain
I have toiled for many nights"

"Nu finns inget mer att förtälja
Nu låter jag andra fortsätta historien
Lås sätter jag på den stora skatten
Allt detta skall på rätt sätt berättas
Här når våran resa sitt slut
Byleif byggde sitt land såsom berättats
Jag ser fram emot en vederkvickande fontän
För jag har slitigt i många nätter"

My old stats-documentation for the game(s) taking place in this world. No, I have no longer any idea about what it means anymore.

Byleif on the island of false fairies

Nästa ö var övergiven av feerna
    Blodkärlen slog i pannan
    Hammaren och bågen fick slita
En god dag för en varg
    Törnesnåren frodades här
    Ben är som hullets Ull
Byleif han fann proviant till färden
Bet öns ägg som mitt vittne

The next island; abandoned by fairies
    The bloodvessel almost burst
The hammer and bow had to go to work
A good day for a wolf
Thorns were all there ever was
Bone is like the Wool of the Blood
Byleif found some food for the trip
With a single egg as my witness

    Svärd blir av svärd rostat
    Rustning blir av tångar söndertagna
    Hårdvunnet land
    För kaninernas storjarl
Förbrytare och rövare föll över ön
All mat, båten, allt föll i spillror
    Byleif undkom nätt och jämnt
    Den främmande Rabalder räddade honom

    Sword is tested by sword
    Armor is broken by tongs
    Hard-won land, this
For the jarl of the mighty
Traitors and bandits entered the boat
All food, the chart, all stolen
    Byleif only managed to escape
Because the son of the sun was there

    Byleif in an imperial colony

Alla stigar leder till denna mäktiga plats
Här finns allt som behövs för färden
Byleif undrade; hur kan detta ske?
    För den ambitiösa faller världen
    Fyrordnad förening för Flein
En ö. Åtta stenar. Sjö emellan dem alla.
Högt ovan i Elivågor finns samma stenar
Han begrundade detta då han red Beluga

All roads lead to this mighty place
Here everything needed can be regained
Byleif wondered; how can this be?
For the good leader the world makes a throne
    Fourworded fib for Fleinskaldi
One island. Eight stones. Sea between them all
High above the Eliwaves are the very same stones
He pondered this as he rode Beluga

    Denna drömmarnas ö
    Var i vanlig ordning svårnavigerad
    Byleifs fartyg gick
    Från natten till dagen
Han spände nu manligen bältet om livet
Från barbarens Bjarmaland till civilisationens Groomerus
    Då vår saga fortsätter
    Når våra hjältar nästa strand

    The island of dreams
The goal of the mind's eyes
    Byleif went over the waterfalls
    From night into today
    He girded up his loins
Went from Bjarmaland to the Empire of Groome
    As his tail continues
Our heroes reach the next shore

Byleif on the island of strenght

Is kunde ätas direkt från vattnet
Men snart blev det varmare för all
Elden svedde huden på denna plats
Elden svedde stenen på denna plats
    Detta var styrkehandskarnas land
    Byleif ville ha styrkeländernas hand
Med magi fylldes kanonerna med is
Folk simmar av kärlek i vattnet

Ice could be eaten out of the water
But soon it turned more tropical
Fire burned the skin all over
Fire burned the stone all over
This was the land of great strenght
The was the land of mighty hands
    As Byleif said
By love the water was again filled with cold
  3. Steg av is på magisk väg
    Stora steg på manligt vis
På utsidan av berget sprutade magman
På insidan av berget forsade elden
Byleif fick bara den ena handsken
Bara ett kraftdon blev denna dag taget
    Hans ansikte brändes mycket svårt
    Hans anlete sveddes ovanför ögat

    Iceflow on the floating stone
Ice slow for the slippery foot
On the outside the fire rumbled
On the inside the lava tumbled
Byleif only got one glove this day
Byleif only got one item of power
    His face was badly burned
    His fur was fiercely singed

Byleif on the island of autumn

Byleif the mighty now reached island 1-13-5-18-9-3-1
    Food flew off the table
The Man of the Harvest lived south of Markland
Words were traded for words in the land of beautiful women
Free Love was on the table
But the Lapine Lord had already promised his body
Most magnificent to the guard of Castle Borealis
    Tymor smote

Byleif did not stay long with the harvest man
Although he learned the many ways of the feast
And brought the stuff he needed at the market
    To survive the coming darkness
Finally the map was at its furthest
    Passing through the village Harvel
The land of the everlasting carvist
    Byleif felt a great catharsis

    Treasures rich on this island
    Treasures of incredible worth
Treasured high was this northern island
Rich was now the mighty king
    Treasured is it to journey
Treasured is the journey at its end
    Treasured riches like a dragonbed
But a pirate he was not

Byleif on the island with the Shaking Tower

    6gETavt.png

The next verse is a bit special since it does not contain any text at all but rather a picture carved out of stone using the best tools the age could provide. It seems to show Byleif sail in triumph from the "northern island" where the treasure of the pirate Le B Orn was hidden. This "story within the story" marks the culmination of one of the three Great Legends of Byleif that the Bjarmian writer Snurre Sturlasson wove together into one. The three legends are "Byleif's fishing trip", "Byleif and the treasure of the pirate Orn" and finally "Byleif-Around-The-Year". The final one tells of Byleif's battle against the demon Leechlock and features Byleif's brother Tymor pretty heavily. Since Tymor barely features in the poetic version of "Byleif's fishing trip" the entire story is reduced to a couple of random verses although the climax still feature the demon Leechhlock, as we will soon see!

On the next island a vile man perched
A wake-up period for the price was reached
They tightened the path around the gold
That is how robbery can be punished
    By angry nations
A powerful sword consumed at last last
    Is equally though and fleshy
A third of the treasure he took as a toll!

    First and foremost
The man was green, ugly and had a third of Byleif's treasure
He had lousy interests and reigns over the Shaking island
Will not be mature about this
The landscape around his green-red tower
The people ever-sleeping by the wheel
    Not to mention, at last
That he smelt like a pig in the mire

    Byleif climbs the three towers

Like a spire fit for a king
Rises three thin needles from the deep
To channel his wrath and profound anger
Byleif now climbs to the top
    Sail, swing, upward gaze
To see the violent turning sea
In deadly danger he hung from the top
As the rocks bounced all around him

The lord of life lambasted looming levels
    The hare-hearted heartily heaved home
    Boulders dodged
Then a bright light struck him with malice
    Perchance there are fire-giants about?
Bats and beings flew out of all the grottoes
Everything that can go wrong does go wrong today
Booming bunny bombed and boomed into the waters

    u5iVk2d.jpg

Byleif sinks into the land of the dead

The nation of the king's brother
Enter forth the warm weight that is Tharn
I promise that the green and blue flames
Are sure to proclaim the victory of the dead and the elves
Many folds have the dame that rules there
Angrboða, the mother of spring and bad weather
Her grip is so sweet for three
    Her body well ornamented

    Small aside
The land of the dead that Byleif descends to in this and the next verse actually features in another story that I wrote. For those interested, it can be read here:
Jackalopes - The paradise of Tymor - Wattpad
    Morr

    Drown-The-Land-In-Answers-Of-God
Byleif's nephew looked up to his uncle
He had built a fiery engine from powerful rods
For the mighty shooter is given carbuncle
The young man knew a tunnel to the west
Anzer thought long and hard on this
It was time for the boat to be best
    Hiss

    ywKQ5pR.jpg
Byleif teaches his nephew in the underworld

Byleif enters the dwelling of the giant Vaftrudner

72 Kunskap är guld värt, fyra ögon
    En jätte, ett jättebibliotek
    En bibla, en bibel
Byleif vandrande länge i kunskapens korridorer
    Sorg fanns hos forskarna
    Sorgesamt, tårar för framtiden
Likt guld man inte kan äta
Om många långa år slår det meteorer

    Knowledge grips, gold knots
    A giant, a library
    Four eyes, four brains
Byleif wandered long in these corridors
Sorrow there were here and there
So sad, tears for the future
Oak is the same for all men
After untold years there will be meteors

73 För Byleif synes livet kort
    Läsa, minnas, tänka, lära
    Slåss, äta, älska, kämpa
    Längta, trängta, skapa, skriva
Denna ö av lärdom skall snart sjunka
När ingen längre minns dess kunskap
    Försvinna, dö, krossas, hotas
Borta är vi alla en dag

To Byleif life seems all too short
    Read, remember, think, learn
    Act, eat, love, fight
    Long, belong, create, write
This sea of knowledge shall soon sink
When it is no longer remembered
    Disappear, die, crush, endangered
We will all be gone someday

    Byleif on the tiny island

Hålla sitt döda syskon i handen
    Kaninernas kung gav honom något
    Men kunde inte lösa grundproblemet
    Detta var de ungas ö
Byleif reste vidare med sorg i hjärtat

Byleif now came to a little island
A little island where grass were nowhere
    He saw a little boy
    Holding his dead brother
    Byleif gave a little
But could not save the island
This the island of the ever-young
A great sorrow came over it

Byleif on the three islands that did not know about each other

Not to speak falsehood, but the next island was better
Seems strange to me, just three stepping stones and a fort
Yet they did not know about each other
Trade, work, gather for the winter
The ash grows were other trees wither
"Fer tha maist pairt, yer a scunner"
To get em all up against the wall would be to do well
So that little and small are both made the same!
  6. Byleif on the island of the great war

One hundred and eleven cannons on eleven ships
    Byleif came to the ever-war
He had only one rust-bucket and thunderstones
In one country a giant, in one a gnome, in one a dumb one, in one the brightest
    11111 men on 1111 islands
This land had been cursed for the sake of a necklace
Byleif only had his armlet of power
That he stole from the fiery mountain of fate

This land were two rounds with pumpkins, and a bridge
    Some said some were stupid
Others said "this is our land"
    Another had found gold
Brother to brother to sister to brother to cousin is the king
    "Enough is enough!"
A woman and man died young
Byleif knew what their problem were...

    Byleif visits Albion

Where can such an island by found?
In the great sea, none such as this
No good land like this community
Do or die among the heroes
For Byleif this is where he found his Lugg
All his needs were here fully given
Lo and behold, this is the island it is based on
Lo and behold, this is the island at the end of the sea

Byleif hittate nu ön han letade efter
Eller fanns här inte fisk i överflöd?
Lurad kände han sig inte här
    Under alla arbetade hjältarna
    Grabbar fanns här såsom Lugg
    Alla hans måsten smälte bort
Bo och bygga en plats som denna
Order gav han till sitt hjärta

The next verse about Byleif's adventure on the island of Albion comes in two completely different versions. In the oldest source of the poem they are written by the same hand, but it is unknown why the poet should break his rule about having two verses for every island that Byleif visits. In the original version B of verse 79 is placed directly after verse 78 but most translations places version A there as it makes more sense. Verse 78 concerns festivities on Albion, version A exploring the island and B Byleif's encounter with some trolls, which ties into his adventures on the next island. Some scholars, hower, have argued that version B does not concern literal trolls but rather the drinks and strange dishes Byleif cinsumes during the festivities, so B is indeed meant to be placed before A.

    A Näschta dag bultade schkallen
    Durins Drick hade gjort sitt

A The necht day 'is head woz throbbin
Dwarves were hard at work in the caverns of Byleif's skull
Durin's drick had done its part
The craftmen of Ivaldi had already won
After seeing the plans for the capital
Byleif bided his time with the heroes and danes
Byleif spoke well for his sake
After getting fish and reed and fighting the Dullahan

B Now Byleif had to contend with the child of a troll
They lived and played on the island of the hand
They played and lived with crackers and fire
Stones and cannons they weighted in their hands
There were also human children there, saw Byleif
These changelings had been taken from the hands
His niece was also there, eight fingers on a hand
Byleif put his glove on his

    Byleif on the prison island

All barn av denna sort äro hemska

    Ostara-Sees-The-Rise lives in a brugh of posion-grass
All chldren of this island are crazy
You can spread your seed and sow only death
When you love the kin of the jotuns
The least of Dani the Dominator's kin
Is great enough to go and take the world
Return to the frozen sea that we all came from

I did not draw this graffiti, I just found it and thought it was kinda neat
  7. Byleif on the golden island

Why is this island filled with fire?
Why is this poor island filled with gold?
Why is this roaring cry over the houses?
What is this bravery pounding my heart?
The last son of the king said to Byleif
When I die a dragon will ascend the throne
He has wanted it a full century
I can take the fight to him!

Men se! All aska blåste bort från ön

    Byleif climbed the mountain
Where the dragon lived to kill it
But he could not without the help
Of his friends that built a mighty ship
That dragged the dragon into the water
The mine was sunk. But look!
All ash blew away and the blue shone
Can green things grow from hereafter?

Byleif on the island where you could fly

This next island is for learning to fly
To die, perchance, or reach the sky
The birds of the sky may wrily cry
But only the landstruck man wishes to reach
For the cleaver of Imert's skull
Still, to test was to death defy
Being immortal was foremost on Byleif's mind
    And so; away!

    HOPP
    KRASCH

    BOING-OING-O
    Byleif climbed the ladder
The whole was made out of wood
Rope leading to iron to wood
Up on the platform he started to run
Faster and faster towards the precipice of indignition
    Fly, you fool!
    Splash

    Byleif on Spider Island

    Urhus urhuggna
Efter kriget var inget som förr
    Den onda ugglan slog all
    Och reste sitt torn
    Till himmelens spets
Detta läste Byleif på nästa ön

This stone was made by the survivors of the Wanes
Our mountains carved into our homes
    Our homes made into ruins
After the war nothing could be made whole again
That owl is not what she seems
    She erected her tower
To the top of the sky
This Byleif read on the next island
  8. bjorn.jpg
Two renditions of the viking Trump, who was Byleif's companion during this period

    Aj
Sjung en sorgesång på deras egna språk
För vanerna som drevs till skogs
    Till deras villa
    Ve, ve, ve
Nu är saker som de är
Ingenting finns kvar att rädda här
    Gott

    Ay!
Sing a song in any language you wish
For the Wanes that were driven away
    Out into the stormy seas
    Oh, oh Woe
    Be that as it may
There is nothing left to save here
    GO!!

Over the island of shadow and spells of fear
Was a garden with a treasure I held dear
    Stranger waters I have seen
Never once so clean and green
Not many people made it to Eliwaves
Girdled on all sides by Vanir graves
Towards the horizon, chasing the chariot
Away from the home of the owl's proletariat

    Byleif on the seven islands

There were seven needles and Byleif searched them all
On the second was the kraken!
On the third dwarves and men
Built a boat to sail the deep lighted seas
On the fourth and fifth was a landing spot
On the sixth the grumbling gourmand's pot
On the seventh berserkers and werewolves lived
On the first one he came again

På denna ö fanns en trollkarls butik
Och han visade en mätare inuti
Denna kunde visa vad man sökte främst
Byleif stal då den och lämnade
    Mot karlavagnen hade ödet valt
För att finna den stora val
Som skulle bli en boplats för Byleif
Den plats han aldrig skulle lämna

On these islands were a wizard's boutique
There was something he stole quickly
A guiding line in a box of of great worth
It showed the end of the arrow one had shot
Towards the great dipper the journey continued on
Towards the great fishing spot of great whales
Where shall Byleif live and dwell?
To go there and escape this calming mellow?

    Byleif on Crescent island

Apply a knot with the song of embers
Let me move past this crescent pass
Got a rap to boot the mead
    His drinks to his country
    From the boughs of Læraðr
Drink silvery wine as the bonfire roars
As the manly moon blocks all evil
    As Durin slept

Knyt en knut med glödens sång
Kom med båten och låt mig passera
Sjung en sång till mjödens kol
    Han dricker för land
    Från Lärads grenar
Drick från en silverskål mens elden flammar
För den manliga månen blockerar all ondska
    Som Durin söver
