    INTRODUCTION:

Many years ago, in the great continent of Kirüntam, a war waged between all kingdoms for the control of Obrulatën, a city surrounded by great and rich terrains. For some years PhyledrïaUruk, Junsui and Urdhër battled each other with no real outcome nor winner to come and claim the city for their own.

On a quest to find a weapon that would change the tide of the war, an Urdhër general, Draco Hykepriom hears about a legend of magical rock, named Güslat, that links the humans and the gods. It told that the one who possessed the rock could control the power of the gods as he desired. As soon as he informed the king about the legend, the greatest knights of the realm we're summoned to search for the rock and to find it, no matter the cost.

Months passed while the war waged with no news from the knights. Until one day, when Draco returned. Alone and injured, Draco had found the rock and allowed his kingdom to change the tide of the war to their side. The power of the rock was so intense, that the war was ended soon after. Phyledrïa, Uruk and Junsui were defeated and had to retreat with the few remainder of their troops. And peace, even though forced by the enormous power of the Güslat, endured.

However, the desire for vengeance never faded on the defeated kingdoms.

    SYNOPSIS:

As explained in the Introduction section above, it is in this climate of peace and fear that our hero is born. Son of the city of Obrulatën, now renamed Hykepriom, it is there that our hero grows and becomes a soldier of the Enlightened Empire, decided to serve and protect Hykepriom and its king with honor and courage.

However, right after becoming a soldier, he's caught in the middle of a quest that will decide the fate of Kirüntam: The Güslat is stolen from its shrine in Calkpa by a mysterious man and no knows who he was or which kingdom he is serving. From this point on, a tangled net of conspiracy and mystery is developed, which our hero will have to dismantle by order of his king.

He will have to solve puzzles, mysteries and many other quests along the way in search of clues, sometimes finding himself in some pretty challenging situations and sometimes being helped by some really unexpected characters.

Travelling across the entire continent, our hero will meet beautiful landscapes, dense forests, small and peaceful towns, cities full of life above and underground, labyrinthine dungeons, different climates and people. All this while facing challenging enemies and vicious characters to find not only that the powers he possesses are greater than he imagines but also that not everything is what it seems to be.

    And this is it!  BD

I have been working on this for more than a year now and I can say the game must be around 25% done.
Unfortunately I can't work on it as much as I wish to because I'm a university finalist and at the moment I'm also working, so the last few months and next few months also will be slow paced in terms of development.

If you want to help me on this project or want to know more about it, send me a PM. I would love to talk to you.  ;)

Hope you like it and thanks for reading. Share it amongst your friends who are also into RPG Maker  :D
  2. Judging from those screenshots of your mapping and menus, I already see a lot of potential. Keep it up, and I will certainly try out the demo when it is released :)

(One question, in the last map, why are those two guards standing next to each other? Cosy, aren't they? ;) )
  3. Hey Alkorri thanks so much for the reply and the feedback!  :)

Yeah, they are both patroling the town  :p I guess they are good friends hehehe   BD
  4. I like your mapping. I think you've got a nice start.

    Keep at it.
  5. Awesome story and maps.
  6. Thank you so much for the comments and the support! :)

I'll try to keep this up to date as I work on it!

    Cheers!  :D
  7. Like many before me have said, you do have some great maps. I like the mixture of XP with the Ace RTP adds a nice effect.

This game does show promise... I'll be waiting for the finished product.
  8. Looks pretty good, even though it seems pretty awkward to be called "Player". You should include a scene where you can actually name "Player". :)
  9. @Snoop And it exists. Did you read it carefully? :p

  16. Just played your demo. Here is my review:

    Spoiler
    Nice animated title screen.
Nice background pictures to your intro.
    Beautiful maps. Nice and small.
So you need to convert gemstones to gems? I assume that wasn't in demo. More challenging good.
Played the easy mode. Battles balanced. Not too easy. Not too hard. How ever encounter rate is slightly too high.
It would be better if you would see the name of the character in the name box instead of you.
The bush that blocks your way in forest, was that the end of the demo?
Over all nice game and keep up the good work.

Thanks for the review nightdragon! Though you didn't play all the demo ^^

The bush can be cut out after you become a soldier at the camp :)

You actually have at least 3 more Story Quests to do in that demo after becoming a Soldier :p

Check the Quest log in the menu :) You've got one more hour to play at least :D
  18. A nice, enjoyable game.

    Spoiler
Great opening scene - fantastic artwork and music. Interesting story. It's funny how the protagonist seems to be always late.

    Very nicely made maps.

    Nice work disabling dashing indoors.

    Good world map function.

Nice addition of field skills and mining.

    Enjoyable conversations.

Side quests are a nice feature, but the current ones seem a little stock (fetch x amount of something, bring x item to some, retrieve x item). I'm sure you will improve on it though.

    Bugs/quirks :

    - The innkeeper seems to be too far when he comments on using the hexagram for saving at the beginning of the game. Maybe you can move the innkeeper closer to player or back to the counter so that it doesn't look like he can see through walls.

    - There are red, back facing chairs that allow player passability above them. Maybe it can be changed to star passability instead to look a little more natural?

    - Random battles seem to occur very frequently.

    - Maybe you can speed up the battle animations a little?

    - Perhaps you can change 'warms the hearts' to 'burns in the hearts' instead? The former sounds more suitable for family/friendship/romantic scenes. It may be just me, though.

Overall, a very promising and enjoyable game. Good work so far, Deathspecter!
  19. Thanks for your review Susan, glad you liked it!

Will look at your suggestions :)

I thought that was kinda short, lol. I saw the camp but I couldn't get over there. I got stuck, lol.
