The Daily Sketch Thread

Anyone is welcome to join the Daily Sketch Challenge.

A quick run down on how it's done... You dedicate no more than 30 min to a sketch on the day's subject matter. You cant just submit any old sketch and it's best not to submit finished work (although it wont necessarily be rejected). The idea is to promote warm up sketching to free your limbs and prepare you for better work right after or even to create roughs for future finishing of them. Hope that makes sense.

The only thing you have to do is to interpret the challenges (Interpret it as anything). The best part about art is how we view things in our own way!

XD I had no idea what I was going to do when started... And I think you can tell it from the "sunflower". I started from her and I think by the time I got to the boy I started to get relaxed. ;w; 'Twas fun though!

Welp time ran out for me, but I basically turned the flower into a mecha.

...And the roles reversed, but I didn't get enough time to finish the kid.

Dead flower in a box

I was drawing then tablet went DRIVER NOT FOUUNNDD so I decided to say f*ck it and just draw without pressure sensitivity ._.

It just kind of turned into this:

I am totally going to try to do this everyday!!!! :D

It's so interesting seeing how people interpret images and seeing all the different styles as well. :)

Ironically enough, the sunflower was supposed to be the main focus and yet, this is what I pay the least amount of attention to.

I'm actually jealous that people could DO art ;_;

I figured everyone would try to do a realistic sketch and copy the photo with as much detail as possible. But everyone is doing interpretations which I enjoy even more, wish I could draw lol..

This is why I don't draw x3 But it seemed fun, so why not! :3 I'd love to do a musical 'sketch' if that's permitted? :3

I think that reviewing and coaching people on 30 minute sketches may not be as valuable as reviewing complete drawings/paintings.

Is it reasonable to have the daily sketches and weekly or bi-weekly sketches? We'd have daily subject matter [limited to 30 minutes] as well as weekly or bi-weekly subject matter [limited to 4 or 8 hours, respectively]? The daily sketch would be the warm up and the weekly/bi-weekly sketch the "main" project.

Just a thought.

Yeah this is WHY i don't do art, also i drawn on NDS.

And for the second challenge, we're just going to draw google in any style?

Just incase you haven't noticed, it says love, not google haha.

But it looks google to me :p Edit:So it means draw anything but love-related?
