The Cat 2

In the not so long past, there was a war between Demons and the Great Deity which led to the destruction of the planet.  Time as past and the light is slowly fading from the world and magic is no longer used within the world. Enter you, the person player guy, a person that's just a person, decides to buy a cat.  Little did the person know that the cat was able to use something called magic, and then they went off on a adventure and did stuff...

This is the Cat 2, a semi sequal to one of our other rpgs The Cat.


This project took about three weeks to make. It was also made but one person, he put a lot of time and dedication into it so it would be done before the contest deadline.


For those who dare, enter this upside down world, cast spells, collect souls cards, blow up a locked door, found out the truth about this world.

I see what you did there. I'll give this a go, just because of that. 

We hope to have the download link up soon. We are doing some testing at the moment and should either have it up tonight or tomorrow.

Congrats on finishing your game.  I played the game for an hour, but I'm really not the target audience for this game.  I see that you were trying to be funny, but I didn't find it amusing.  The collecting of soul cards to upgrade your skills is interesting and I like the idea.  Battles weren't super tough though, and most of the time I ended up spamming the normal attacks and 'Light' since it killed most things pretty quickly. 


Personally I think most of your maps could've used more details or been smaller.  Also, I really hated that walking on the grass early on leads straight to a game over.  Usually if that happened I wouldn't even bother restarting the game.  Isn't there something else you could do instead, maybe a fight?  But overall, good job on finishing a game, even if it wasn't my cup of tea.  :)

Thank you @Hiddenone for you post and we appreciate your constructive criticism. Personally I agree with your overall assessment of the game. If we had found out about the contest earlier the designer who made the game certainly would have made the maps more detailed and worked on the battles some more.  As for the grass thing, I can understand you’re feelings about it, but our designer wanted to go for a reference with that thing and that is the reason why it exists. But I do agree that in reality it would have been better to do it a different way. I will be sharing this with the Designer to help him become a better designer for the days to come.


Again thank you for constructive criticism. I hope that if you ever get to play the game we are currently game working on it will be more enjoyable for you then The Cat 2. :)
