States displayed on map

A plugin that displays all the current states as a series of icons on the map screen. I'd be super thankful if someone decided to make this!

You need to provide more information.

What are "the current states"? The party leader's current states? A particular party member's current states? States of ALL party members?

Where on the map? In what format?

Do you already have actors displayed on the map? Are the states to be shown with them?

Are you using any plugins that this needs to be compatible with?

Maybe a screenshot with a mockup of what you want it to look like would be helpful.

Sorry, the party leader's current states I mean. On the map screen, like a HUD without a window, just the icons in a horizontal row.

I managed to draw a small icon on the map screen by adapting the timer sprite.
it's not hard to come up with a simple HUD system and shouldn't be too hard to make a full HUD, the difficult part is tuning it so it updates on demand, and not constantly (causing lag)

The gold window would be another good one to use, as I think it already has the logic to display an icon (not sure the timer window does?)

You'd just need to make it refresh whenever a state is added or removed from any party member, or when the party leader changes (which might even be by default if the only way you can do that is via the menu).

the timer is not a window, is a sprite.
no, it doesn't draw icons, I added the icon myself (and, it not being a window means it updates differently)
and the gold window, while a window itself, it is added as a part of the main menu. I don't know how that would work in the map screen, but if you're adding a full window to the map screen, might as well add a whole new window altogether, as in, *a proper HUD*.
(and you can add icons to the gold window as well, so... yeah)

Just use one of the many actor hud plugins out there already. Many already show states. Like Moghunter's. Just use blank images for the stuff you don't need.

I have looked around at various huds but none of them those this.
Moghunter's actor hud scrolls between states and I am not sure how to make it display them in a row.

I would like to know how to show states in a row too... Show them on the map screen.
