State that goes away when you attack

  1. Exactly what it says on the tin.  How do I set it up to where when an actor begins combat, he/or she has a state that they relinquish when they attack an enemy.  How do I do this?

    Hopefully the solution doesn't involve tons of eventing.
  2. It just involves attaching  a common event to the basic attack. Go to your skills and the First one is your basic attack (or you could use any skill for this,even all of them). Add as an effect of the attack that it triggers a common event. That common event would remove the state.

    I got the idea from a skill I made that Boosts the user's agility after casting a damage spell on the ememy.
