It might be a dim question, but where do you get animated backgrounds for this? or what format do animated backgrounds need to be in to be compatible with rpgmakervx ace?

By default, none of the RPG Makers has an animated title screen.


To get an animated title, you'll need to add a script for that - the link in the answer above guides you to one of several possible scripts that give you that option, but there are other scripts for similiar effects.


The format you need is determined by the script - which means that you first need to select such a script and then look which format that specific script needs - some of those scripts simply allow you to define a map for the animation and you can display anything that can be displayed on a map, others require you to give a series of pictures or other alternatives.
