  1. lining up some new asset types. trying to come up with a series of currencies so makers can visually show the money their players earn/conjure/steal in the course of the game. here's round one, Universal Credit bills, envisioned as a near future currency, but should be generic enough to use in multiple scenarios. Bill sizes are aligned with MV/MZ tile size (2:1 aspect with 48x48 tiles).

I already have some concepts for currencies, but please throw out any ideas you have -- if I like it I'll try to make it!

These assets are free to use in any engine for both commercial and non-commercial projects, but they are designed for use with RPG Maker MV/MZ. See OP for full terms.

  2. Next up in the currency series, a set of Japanese-inspired coins and bills.

  3. How do you use these? Ore those in-game currecies or like printable gift cards?

I leave that to your creativity!

The initial idea was that rather than having like +5G pop up you could have these images flash/glow, or shoot across the screen... the particular animation being suited to the circumstance/game.

I started this because I made a gem collecting educational game for my son and I could tell he really liked the quick visual cue that he had "gotten" something. Numbers going up are fun, but visual representations can be even more fun, I think.

That said, I doubt these are high enough DPI for print use unless you AI upscale them. I could make higher res versions, but didn't think that would be the general use for these graphics.

I think it would be fine, You shouldn't print them on 20×30cm paper (A4) but it would amazing the size of a business card or monopoly play money.
You could even print a game-key on there, or a code to redeem in-game. :p
  6. Here are some more bills in the currency series. Will be working on some coinage to go along with this set soon.

  7. Crown Coins to go with the previous Crown Bills - separate piles of coins from 1 to 10

  8. The coins look awesome! Can you make blank coins for us to edit ourselves? Maybe different metals too? I'm thinking gold, silver, and copper would be plenty of variety. A black coin might be cool too, for something like Stygian iron. Not sure who would get use from that... but I've learned that there's always someone who is looking for something obscure.

Awesome... I'd love to use that single coin for the tos at the start of the football matches in my football game. But, for a tos I'd need 2 sides of the coin: head and tails. If you ever happen to add the other side of the coin to the collection, I'd definitely would like to use it. Very nice.

One tiny comment though. I can't help to notice the coins in all piles are all more or less right-side up in the picture, as if they were carefully placed that way. I know this is such a minor detail and no-one would probably care, but this seems to be done on purpose, since you did tilt them a little. I'm kinda curious what the reason is for that, if you don't mind me asking. It's not a complaint, I'm just curious.

Anyhow, I love it. If there ever is a head-side of the same coin, I'd love to use it for the tos.

Sure, here are the blanks that I've been working with:

Here are two sides of a coin, but you might want to just use the blanks to make your own version. I've also included a third image in case you want to make a very simple coin spin animation.

    ADVENT 2024: DAY 1

    Please see OP for terms.

Wishing everyone a wonderful start to this joyous season!

Here's the start of a long-overdue orc (ork?) series. By popular demand, etc. etc... (sorry it's not very Christmasy -- we need Harold to come to the rescue!

  13. You know, I might find a use for those orc huts. Well done on the first day!
  14. Wow, this is a great addition to any RPG where you get caught (very probable with Harold and Reid).
  15. Love the Orc huts/village. I believe I have just the spot for it in my game, :)
  16. These tiles look great and definitely very orc-ish! Looking forward to seeing what else you have in store for us. :)
  17. Those orcs are definitely a resourceful kind. Making housing structures out of their enemies and food sources? Very green, very sustainable.
  18. Awesome resources!! Thank you so much for your work for us!! :kaoluv:
