Star passability?

  1. Is there a fix for the star passability on the "A" region of tiles? I don't like that some you can't pass through the roofs of some buildings.
  2. Do you mean walk on them or behind them? (Hard to tell with "through".) I'm not sure there is, if you mean behind/under. You could put the pieces you need into a sheet B-E and set that with star passability or event that piece as above player.

If there is another solution, I'd love to know!
  3. The problem is the A tiles are all auto-tiles, so the engine can't really distinguish one from another for passability.

The solution (as said) is to move them to another tileset (like E). Build your house or whatever, then save that 'block' and set it up as a tileset piece. As long as the tiles are joined, it should be ok even if it's off a pixel or two (or you could deliberately offset it <.<).

Edit: if you're going to offset, you can stick it in one of the tileset pages that 'layer'. That could give some nice possibilities.
  4. No.  That is not considered a bug, so there never was a "fix" and there will likely be no plans to make one.

You will need to request a plugin if you want to change tile behaviour.
  5. To clarify what I said - you can't move the tiles directly: 'A' tiles are actually several tiles each: one of which gets chosen by the editor each time you lay them down or modify one next to it.

Build whatever you want to build, then save that image (screen shot or something), and cut the completed house out. Put THAT in its own tileset file.
