Square-grid drawing program?

    Well basically i am trying to design my own sprites for a game i'm creating, but i have no luck whatsoever when i'm trying to create them,I have tried gimp,Photoshop,Paint,Sai, but i am just wondering if anyone knows a Drawing program that has like a square grid and you move the brush along the squares something similar to the design program in Animal crossing and mario kart (DS) i know it sounds basic but i really can't use anything else >.<

    Photoshop and the others have a grid and snap to the grid feature.

    There's also graphics gale.

    You mean pixels? Why not just use MS Paint then?
