Spriter program

    I just saw that Spriter is on sale on Steam. I am just wondering if I would be able to make chibi style sprites and non animated battlers with it.  Any feedback would be appreciated.

    I don't have Spriter but my understanding of it is that you make the art in a different program and use Spriter to do the animation.  So, no, I don't think you can' make static battlers in Spriter.  As for chibis, yes you could, there's no reason you couldn't.

    Spriter is used to animated pictures, but they have to be in separate portions for Spriter to properly animate them. So, yes, you need to use a program like PS, or Gimp. Then, you have divide the image into body part sections and import the folder into Spriter. Once inside, the process to animate them is simple. Just check out my review on steam, I did it within 16 min. This is coming from someone who's never touched animation before. http://steamcommunity.com/app/332360
