Sprite generator for damage/insane

  1. I've been looking around, both on this forum and generally on the internet, but been unable to find exactly what I need.

I'm currently working on a project, where I need some custom damage, and insane, sprites, so what I'm looking for is something like the character generator build into VX Ace, that also generates some sprites of the custom character laying down (injured/dead) also having those "funny" eyes from the standard insane sprite pack, with the custom characters own hair, cloth, colour etc.

Is there something that can do this?
  2. As far as I am aware, there is no generator of any type which will generate 'down' sprites.

For ordinary walking sprites (assuming you do not want to frankensprite, which is what it sounds like), you would need to have eyes of the type that you want in the format needed to import them into the Ace generator.  Once there, you could select them in the normal way, choosing the hair, clothes etc that you want to go with them.

Thanks for answering, but not fully sure what you mean mate.

But as I understood, there's no quick working generator that will add them as well.

For the remaining part, I think you lost me.

I think yes, it's for the custom generated characters, walking sprite.

    Like this:

The girl on the top left corner have the red eyes, and raised arms like the nun.

And the boy on the bottom left lie down like the wounded guy.

It's to show certain effects during events, like the whole party just got beaten by a bad guy, or said bad guy stops the protective Paladin, and turn her on the party against her will, or something like that.

If there's some "naked" sprites, showing those states, and possible a guide on how to get the character generator to accept and put cloth on them, according to selections in the character generator, that would work wonders as well. :)
  4. AFAIK the body part of the generator isn't modifiable... but if you can buy the game character hub, you might be able to...

Or just get the generator parts from the RTP, then make your sprite in photoshop or gimp or paint.net or whatever else image editing software you have.
  5. There is no generator to make you new downed sprites. Even the game character hub doesn't have this function sadly (and as far as I know..)

I think, you have to make those states yourself with a graphic editing software.

Here is a tutorial specific for what you are asking: http://www.rpgmakervxace.net/topic/20383-the-pixel-dojo-total-tuts-13-latest-06-19-2014/

Scroll down to Tutorial 5 "Creating a "fallen" sprite from Pre-Gen"

It has detailed instructions on how to make a downed pose for a sprite made by the generator. With this you should be able to make downed poses for your sprites. You don't need a big graphic software for this, as engr. adiktuzmiko already said, gimp or paint.net (both free) are well capable of making this.

Thank you very much, I'll give it a try. :)

yeah unless you or someone else supply it with a base and resources for that.
