Hi, so I have JUST like a few days ago bought RPGMVXA and I'm beginning to learn the ropes of the the program and this is my introduction to game design. It's fun:). But I was wondering about being able to edit the base sprites in RPGMVXA. I know their is a character creator, but it seems a bit basic. I really like the sprites in RPGMVXA and I want to use these avatars in particular. The thought of remaking the legacy of goku games crossed my mind but in no way am I ready yet. But the sprites in those games look dated to me. Is their a way to make a character like Goku but in rpgmvxa form?
P.S I have a strong case of "Noobs Ambition" lol
Sprite editor?

There is a nice tool they sell called Game Character Hub, but it's more geared towards making human characters, not monstrous or robotic ones.

Well, there's the Game Character Hub, which is like a much upgraded version of the character creator with editing capabilities. If you want something really original you may have an easier time with a graphics program. Just about any will do but I would suggest one with animation capabilities. I use Pixel Edit and Photoshop.

If you are looking for a goku sprite (and some other DBZ chars) then check this out here

Paint .NET (free), Gimp (free), and Photoshop ('spensive) are always powerful graphics editing software. If you want a more direct approach, you can use the Game Character Hub (cheap).
Paint.NET has a small learning curve, Gimp is a little tougher to master, and Photoshop is the most difficult but by no means too difficult to learn with a little persistence.
All of these tools are powerful and effective when it comes to editing sprites. -
If you're looking for tools to create sprites, consider PyxelEdit (http://pyxeledit.com/) and Pickle ( http://www.pickleeditor.com/). Both are fairly popular in indie development outside of RM as well.
