  1. Hi, so I have JUST like a few days ago bought RPGMVXA and I'm beginning to learn the ropes of the the program and this is my introduction to game design. It's fun:). But I was wondering about being able to edit the base sprites in RPGMVXA. I know their is a character creator, but it seems a bit basic. I really like the sprites in RPGMVXA and I want to use these avatars in particular. The thought of remaking the legacy of goku games crossed my mind but in no way am I ready yet. But the sprites in those games look dated to me. Is their a way to make a character like Goku but in rpgmvxa form?

P.S I have a strong case of "Noobs Ambition" lol
  2. There is a nice tool they sell called Game Character Hub, but it's more geared towards making human characters, not monstrous or robotic ones.
  3. Well, there's the Game Character Hub, which is like a much upgraded version of the character creator with editing capabilities. If you want something really original you may have an easier time with a graphics program. Just about any will do but I would suggest one with animation capabilities. I use Pixel Edit and Photoshop.
  4. Paint .NET (free), Gimp (free), and Photoshop ('spensive) are always powerful graphics editing software.  If you want a more direct approach, you can use the Game Character Hub (cheap).

Paint.NET has a small learning curve, Gimp is a little tougher to master, and Photoshop is the most difficult but by no means too difficult to learn with a little persistence.

All of these tools are powerful and effective when it comes to editing sprites.
