  1. I apologize in advance if I posted this in the wrong section, but I'm wondering If I could get some help with making a certain event.

So to put it as simply as possible, the idea to make an event graphic change to a different graphic, then change back. I'm not talking about

an actor in my party either. This is just an event with a graphic, so I can use it as an NPC quest giver.

An example would be I do a quest for an event NPC, I come back and turn it in. He then turns into something else entirely (a demon form) and forces me

into a battle with him. I then am forced to fight him, after beating him he turns back into his original human form. The event then continues with

some more dialogue, then it ends. I've got that all down except for him transforming, then going back to normal.

Any help would be appreciated. :D
  2. Weirdly, changing the graphic of an event is managed under the 'Set Move Routes' section. I think it's under the third tab of events, but if you make a 'Move route' within an event, one of the possible movement routes is 'change graphic'.

I've uploaded a screenshot to try and show where to find it.

    I hope this helps!

EDIT: 'Set Move Route' is under the second tab of events! Sorry about that!
  3. You can use the command as described above, but more often when you want to change the graphic of an event, you switch it to a different page - all pages can have different sprites.

It basically depends on what exactly you want to do - both methods have their advantages and disadvantages.
  4. Yes, that was exactly what I wanted! Can't believe I missed it in the list of Set Move Route options. Thanks a ton for the help and quick reply! :D
  5. Change Graphic in Set Move Route is good if you only want a temporary change and they will be back to the original graphic before you finish talking with them. If you want it more permanent (leave the map and come back and they still look the way you changed them), you need to do it with different event pages and switches or self switches.
