Hey all,
Just curious if there's a way to show the skill's description (the one entered in the text field for the skill) via a tooltip or whatever when mousing or moving over it, or displaying it at the top of the screen at least or at a fixed coordinate? I'm using MOGHunter's BattleHud if that changes the equation a bit.
Thanks!
Skill Description tooltip?

I don't really understand. So you want to show the skills description via a tooltip?
-
Yes. As it stands, I mouse over the skill (or move over them using the keys) and it doesn't show any description at all, using MogHunter's BattleHud. Either i'd like the option to use a tooltip, or the option to display the skill description at an x,y coordinate.

Which BattleHud do you use? MOG has different versions.

The #11 Planetarium, if that matters. :) -
Something like in Warcraft III right?
-
So you don't want to use the default help window?
-
That would be awesome, though it wouldn't need to be fancy, just something that showed what the skill does, so I can avoid the issues I had with my last game where people didn't know what the skills did (and few stopped to read the help, where they were described).

I turned on the Help window/layout, and it doesn't appear or seem to do anything with skills. -
@SimProse
Are the x, y, width, height parameters for the help window correct?
I just tested the default settings in the MOG_MasterDemo and it showed the help window for skills in battle. -
I have my skills on the starting menu that pops up, I should point out. So maybe I should amend my request to something where I can control exactly what is displayed when you mouse over the initial options that pop up when a combat starts.

Oh, so you mean the Party Command Window?
-
Right, yes.
-
You want a tooltip that expands and tells more/different than the skill description window?

Let me know, if it works for you. -
PM'ed you. It sorta works for some purposes. I imagine this will work nicely in many situations. Good work! :)
