Sit down, please! - Pose tutorial

Poses can add so much depth and live to a certain scene, but they can be pretty tough to make, especially if you are not very experienced in spriting or pixel art.

Today I will show you how to make a default character sit down - perfect for your taverns, classrooms or any other place with chairs!


Actor1_2 and Actor3_6 will show your characters how to take place on a stool.

And in fact, this is super easy.

There we go!

Most capes can be adjusted by moving the pixels up, in this case I simply moved the lower part up and cut off the excess.

Now for the front:

Now that we did the side and front, only the back is missing!

And for our cape-wearing heroes…

And that was it!
I hope this helps and you can add that little extra bit of flavor to your game!

Can i ask? What tools do all of you use to break it down or reassemble the character?

Image editor of your choice, whatever you're most comfortable with. I use Paint.net personally (free), a lot of folks use GIMP (free), some will use Photoshop and the like.

I thought i need to use something professional like aseprite. So Gimp or photoshop is viable? thanks!:ewink:
