Single Target Aura

  1. I want to make a series of States that depend on the caster, rather than the person being cast onto, so they could vanish when the caster died and follow the caster's turn pattern; something similar to Yanfly's Aura script, but effecting only one target. Any help with this would be much appreciated.
  2. There are auto passive state plugins available; Yanfly has one. Could you give us an idea/example of the effect you are trying to achieve?

    I have an issue with single turn Defensive buffs currently; I use action end for when states end, and if the person being buffed is directly after the person buffing, then casting the spell is useless. I want the State to be tied to the caster, rather than the target, and to last until the caster's next action end.

    Maybe this is possible with Yanfly's auto passive states, I had a look but connecting it to switches means multiple castings of the same spell on different people would all end when the first state finished.
  4. Just an idea but you could make buff skills faster by increasing the speed so that most of the time, it'll go off before any other actor who isn't guarding. That's kind of why that extra speed stat exists.

The problem is that playing a hybrid buff/attack or heal would include an enormous speed buff and I'm pretty sure would throw my game out of balance; I'm looking for a solution that will change what I've already set up as little as possible as I rather stupidly only thought to try out any of my target-ally defense buffs pretty late into the combat testing.
