Selling your game

Hello all, I have a question and thank you for any help or advice. Say you have completed a game and it's ready for sell. If you got the game but do not have rpg maker mv would you still be able to play it? Is the game creation software basically for just mv owners? Thank you kindly.

The topic title is kinda misleading, it is about game deployment, not about selling the game while it isn't completely off track. Anyway MV games need to be deployed first for people to play the game by using File --> Deployment.

Games once deployed don't require RPG Maker.
As long as you own a copy of RPG Maker, you can sell your games, made with it to anyone (with the proper credits and so on).
