I've been looking at a custom menu script that Shaz posted a couple of years ago, before the site overhaul. The problem is that the script has all of the "new line marks" were deleted, most likely by the overhaul. This is what it looks like:

Can we fix the formatting so I can use the script for my game? The topic is at this link: http://forums.rpgmakerweb.com/index.php?/topic/17648-request-custom-menu-only-item-save-and-end-game-tab-please-help/.

No - it's every code tag due to the forum update, and everything would have to be reformatted manually. Try to find a variant that is downloadable instead of using code tag.

Okay. I'll be sure to. Thanks for the info.

I've got a fix for this issue incoming, just waiting on some confirmation to find out if I'm allowed to do it first. Hang tight :)

This has been a problem for quite awhile now and its actually a very big problem for a lot of us. I love these forums and they were invaluable when I was learning Ruby and I was hoping for the same while learning JS in MV. This isn't the case however and I've been forced to look elsewhere. I'm really surprised this problem hasn't been taken care of already. Going on what? 3 months now? I understand its in the works and has been and there are a lot of other things going on but I'm concerned with the fact that this issue hasn't been expedited. Can we get some information on why this doesn't seem to be on the priority list of problems? Not trying to be condescending whatsoever. Just honestly curious.

Hi @shaynec1981,
First off, I totally understand and relate to your frustration and apologize for the inconvenience. We first had to wait a decent amount of time for a fix from IPS. Afterwards, they sent me instructions on how to go about applying the fix. And I've prepared to apply it, and have been eager to do so.
However, there's recently been some internal issues regarding the forum, and I've been essentially waiting on approval to go forward. Normally, I wouldn't need such approval, but a few things came up earlier in the month, and I've been uncomfortable investing more time into the forum until approval is made.
I really appreciate the community's patience, and I completely relate to the frustration. I do not like leaving things like this sitting here waiting to be done, and again, I'm eager to apply the fix. I have a "deadline" date in mind, where if things aren't worked out by then, I'll just move forward with it, as I consider it urgent and have left plenty of time for internal communication to be addressed at this point.
With that said, I'm going to aim to apply this fix by Friday, March 25 at the latest, if not sooner.
Again, thank you for your patience and understanding of the situation! :)
Best,
Nathanial -

That's understandable. I was never pointing fingers and I have been patiently waiting and would have continued to do so without saying much. I appreciate all the work you've done for us! -

I appreciate the kind words. I just wanted to give as best of an explanation as appropriate in regards to the scenario. I'll be sure to post an announcement as soon as the fix is applied though! :) -

Just a question, does this include the fix on the forum store or thats a whole different matter? If it's a different matter, when do you suppose it'll get fixed? -

The forum store (assuming you mean downloads for purchases?) is another separate issue, but falls into the same area as before. :) -

The forum store downloads is a much larger project that would take a larger amount of time. So I don't feel comfortable giving an ETA on it, or just doing it. I would prefer to wait on that a little longer for more communication. I will explore options to help the community out, however, and will keep you updated on this.

Oh, alright. Thanks for answering. -
Count me in as 1 more vote for getting this fix. Majority of the scripts in the forum are useless right now.

I wonder if any progress has been made to resolve this problem? It's been a long time.

wayback machine might be helpful?
edit: just checked - yep, it had a correctly-formatted version of that particular thread/script prior to the site changeover, though there was only one crawl in the full 12-month period. I'd give that a go.
