I have searched all over Google and here. And I don't think this is possible. I was hoping to have text show up on the screen like the Show Text command. But update over time and not interrupt the the player. I.E. still allowing them to walk around. But it seems I would have to use a lot of images of text and a lot of conditional trees to display it or use a script. Just wondering if this is even possible to do without scripts of images.

Since message boxes are done via scripts, modifying the way they behave would also have to be done via scripts.

Yeah I had a sneaking suspicion that was the case.

as Shaz said, a HUD can only be done either by scripts (using texts and regular window frames) or images (using the show picture command) or both.
However, you don't need to write those scripts yourself, there are already several available - search the master script list for either "gap window" or "event window" -
Thanks everyone, I that about answers my question feel free to close this topic.
