Salutations n.n

Hello, I'm Omniblacklight, feel free to call me Omni or whatever hehe. I recently bought the RPG Maker VX Ace during the steam sale, along with one nice little modern pack before finding forums where people share their experiences, scripting, tutorials, and so on. I'm eager to learn but I am already discovering I am a horrible scripter haha. Not to worry though, I am patient and mostly testing the maker out.

As far as what I like I do enjoy making some pixels, as well as designing maps and writing stories, so hopefully I can work up a little test game soon enough. I enjoy puzzle games, horror, and oddly enough overly cute ones as well. I am online a lot, though I will be gone most of July visiting family, so I intend to keep a notebook with me to doodle and write ideas as I go.

Hope to make a good impression around here, looks like a fairly large community! ^^

Not very good at scripting? Don't worry, you only need scripts to go beyond the basic capabilities of the RPG Maker engine! There is a lot that can be accomplished without scripts! :p

Oh good to hear! I was a little nervous about that when I seen the scripting panel. Glad that I shouldn't have to use it for the entire game haha. Thank you for the welcome!

I haven't done pixel art in a while, was playing with some today and then I see all these fabulous ones on here and on other sites and know I'm going to have to work really hard to feel a little more on par! Everyone is wonderful though, offering their work to be used (with credit of course! really hope people don't use and claim as their own :/ ) to make it easier on people. T'would be a pain to do all the pixeling for an entire game x.x not that it wouldn't be worth it though.

It's a lot more work than it seems, too! But yeah, very cool and I think it's worth it. I'm a patient gal though.

Thank you for the welcome! I have some shaded pixels that I have made, I'll  see about uploading them here to share for people to edit and color as they please. They are a little bigger than most should be for the games, so may work for icons.
