I think it might be a good idea to alter licensing for RTP to be allowed outside of RPG Maker, because so many indies use it already, and it would make those honest people more likely to buy it since the other guys will use it anyway. You could have a separate license you purchase, or just have it attached to the purchase of the program, but preferably the second option. :)

I agree with the latter. Would be a good idea. Don't see how any harm could come from it anyways.....

This is similar to a recent thread. In that thread, Lunarea said:
There may be non-commercial licenses for future tileset packs (future as in coming soon, not necessarily futuristic in theme), too. We will be releasing a shop add-on for the modern tiles very soon, and there will be other themes coming after.
As for RTP ... Last I heard was that they were not entirely opposed to the idea, but nothing concrete has been done yet. If the RTP doesn't happen, we'll definitely consider doing more fantasy-type original tiles at some point. :) -
I'm pretty sure they have "non-RM" licenses.I think it might be a good idea to alter licensing for RTP to be allowed outside of RPG Maker, because so many indies use it already, and it would make those honest people more likely to buy it since the other guys will use it anyway. This is a decision made by Enterbrain, not by Degica.
I'm not saying you aren't allowed to express your concerns, but it is an issue that has been brought up and dismissed as not in their best interests more than once. There are also probably legal issues involved with it that are preventing them from going that direction. I'm totally just speculating here, because I've never been to a meeting with EB!, so I haven't heard it from them directly or anything.
Anything produced through Degica (modern tiles, etc.) will have both licenses for RPG Maker products, and for other uses though. -
I see thanks.
I was interested in this cause it would only help EB, and people will always disobey rules - might as well just get the most money out of it as possible.

Did you ignore what I posted and the thread I linked? They don't.I'm pretty sure they have "non-RM" licenses.

Calm your tits.
Edit: I was thinking of of an additional Resource pack, a la "Modern Day Tiles". My bad.
