RPG Maker XP Trial: Saving Problem

Im using the latest RPG Maker XP Trial version (downloaded it ~5 days before) and the pokemon essentials kit (http://pokemonessentials.wikia.com/wiki/Downloads).


After maybe 30min of designing a map for the first time i saved and this save is stuck now. I can't overwrite it, because if I try to save another time it doesn't work. The Playtest- and Exit-Buttons won't work aswell, because pressing "Yes" doesn't work and "No" leads me to the fact, that I didn't saved at all.

I wonder if it's an admin rights thing ...


I'm not sure what you mean by "if I try to save another time it doesn't work" or "pressing No leads me to the fact that I didn't save at all". How does pressing no "lead you to a fact"? Do you get an error message? What does it say? Have you been able to save your map, or not?


It's possible there's an error message in another window waiting for your attention (try to alt-tab and see) that is just preventing any further actions in the editor window.


The only other thing that comes to mind is to ask where you are saving your project? If it's in Program Files and you're not running as an administrator, that could be an issue. I strongly suggest that you don't put your projects into any of Windows' default folders (even if the engine suggests that as a good default location).

Well nevermind, this topic can be closed/deleted.. It was an administration rights thing.
