Do you have the steam version or the standalone-version of RMXP? Where did you purchase it?
Which operating system do you have? Which path did you install the editor in?
We need more information to find the problem. -
I've moved this thread to Tech Support. Please be sure to post your threads in the correct forum next time. Thank you.
Did you install the RTP as well? -
I purchased it a while back when RPG RPG REVOLUTION was still alive and then I saved it on my usb thing cause I got a new computer and it didn't work since. I did not get it from steam. I have a Windows 7 64-bit and it's saved in the Enterbrain place. And yes I have the RPG RTP. Does it have something to do with my computer? And I also tried reinstalling it but that didn't work...Do you have the steam version or the standalone-version of RMXP? Where did you purchase it?

That was before my time, but if you purchased XP before the distributer changed to Degica, most probably the activation server for your version had been shut down years ago. Open a tech support ticket (link top right) with your old serial and proof of purchase (if possible) and have Degica check that SN and possibly exchange it for one that works with the current files and servers. Might take a few days depending on how busy they are.
The current version has no problems with Win7 if you install it with admin rights, but it sounds as if your activation fails. -
I fixed it! In case anyone else has this problem here's how to fix it!
-Go to computer
-System Properties
-Advanced System Settings
-There is 3 settings chose the Performance.
-Click "Data Execution Prevention"
-Click Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select click add.
-Go to Program Files (x86) and click Enterbrain and add XP.
-Save, open XP and it's fixed!
I found out about this from doing this with another game. Thank you everyone, this may be closed now. :)
