RPG Maker XP 999 Maps Cap

I've been trying to look on Google and tried using the search engine on the forum but it hasn't given me much help to find topics about it on the forum. I imagine this is an issue that's often brought up today, while working on my project I was greeted by a "Cannot create any more maps." message while trying to create a new map. While I've seen some places mention the solution of creating bigger maps and insert the maps in there, I'm not sure how feasible it is with a project with 999 maps. Are there any solutions, scripts or such that would allow me to go on without too much of a hassle? If not then I'll just suck it up and try to use that solution of making bigger maps to put the smaller ones in but still, any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I think this may help you.
I was using XP in the past and came across this but never though using this cause I have no idea how to make a game story with a lot of maps.

Thanks, I actually gave that script a try earlier but I didn't seem to have much success with it. While I've been using scripts I'm not to good with them so either that's the issue or the script isn't working in a way that allows me to add more maps as intended. To be fair though, it's probably the former.
