RPG Maker MV Wont open anymore

Hey all, So i own the steam version of MV and have almost 300 hours in it, but suddenly it no longer opens. I click on launch on steam, I get the splash screen with all the default characters, then that goes away and nothing. Steam thinks its running, but it isnt in the task manager at all. I've tried reinstalling it several times. and I have no idea whats wrong at this point. Any help would be lovely

system? any antivirus? any firewalls?
any missed program updates?
any recent system updates?

Most likely one of your background programs blocking it now.
Second possibility is a damaged steam download cache, in that case you'll need to clear it before reinstalling can work.

thank you everyone for the help. clearing the steam download cache, then uninstalling and reinstalling seemed to work and it is now opening properly
