RPG Maker MV Documentation/Help not working?

Hi,

I've got a little problem while trying to call the documentation for RPG Maker MV. I usually call it by pressing F1, but for some reason it isn't working on my laptop. Either F1, or manually clicking Help -> Contents isn't working. Nothing happens.

I just want to say that it works fine when I work from my desktop. This issue only happens on my laptop.

Anyway, is your laptop the same OS as your desktop? Does it have internet connection on?

@Poryg Yeah, both are running windows 10, and both have internet connection on. It's not a serious issue or anything, since I can get on quite fine without the documentation, but it is annoying a bit.

What is the URL it calls up when you access it from your desktop, and is the same file available on the same path on your laptop? Is there a file association telling it what program to use to access it? What happens if you open the help file directly (via File Explorer) rather than from the editor?

The help-system is basically a call to the browser with a local HTML-file as the argument, and if that doesn't work the error usually is in the browser settings. It can be a defect in the maker as well, but I think the browser is more likely.

What happens if you go into the program directory to the help files and try to start the index.html there by doubleclicking? If that also fails then the help files are damage and the maker needs to be reinstalled.

If you have the steam version, make sure to clear steam download cache before reinstalling, if that is defective you cannot reinstall (steam will tell you it succeeded without really doing anything)

It works fine when I access the file directly in the help folder in the program.
