  1. Hello everyone, we have some exciting news for you!

First off, we'd like to present to you the latest tool in the RPG Maker MV series! MADO is a tool that lets you customize the window graphic used in your game. Using it is very easy! Just select a frame of your window and the pattern of your desire for each scene (e.g. message, battle, menu)!

You can buy the tool over here!

We would like to remind everyone to make sure to do the following steps before updating to ensure that when the update happens so your changes won’t be overwritten:
    • If you are using standalone, download this!
    • If you are using steam and did nothing, it should automatically update. Do not use the downloads from here!
    • If you are using steam and don't want automatic updates, set RPG Maker MV's update to manual instead of automatic.

    • Make a backup of your Generator folder if you edited it.
    • Replace BGM files if you got it from 1.3.0.
If you have an old project that needs updating, do the following:
    • Make a backup of your project.
    • Create a new project or go to the NewData folder in your RPG Maker MV root (where MV is installed) folder.
    • Copy the new js files (RPG*.js and Libs Folder) and replace the one in your -old project.
    • DO NOT COPY plugins.js (the script file that stores all your plugin settings) or it will replace your plugin settings.
    • Copy the new index.html file to your current project.
    • Update gamefont.css just in case.
    • It should now be updated!
    Changelog

  2. Nice ;)
  3. This looks quite good. Tempted to pick it up when it's released in the RMW shop.
  4. That is pretty nifty! I will be picking MADO up pretty soon.
  5. Mine! I like how Steam takes into consideration already owning SAKAN and discounts buying the rest of the pack accordingly. This will be interesting to work with.
  6. Nice. Grabbing the update and while MADO looks cool, probably won't use it. I hope it does well, though.
  7. Just a quick question is it possible to make your own resources for MADO and import them? Haven't bought it by now, I was just wondering... I like the mix and match possibility.

EDIT: OK. Read the rest of the Steam description, it is possible :D
  8. So MADO lets you change the graphics used for the windows, but it doesn't actually alter the layout at all? Windows are the same size, in the same position? Will it be available outside of Steam?
  9. insta buy
    i really need this
    thank you
  10. Interesting, but Mado seems rather pointless.
I know how to use photoshop, and there is already a plugin that corrects the stretching of the frames.
I mean, if it did a bit more for the user, like allowing for customizing layouts and or more, then sure I could see myself buying it..
But as it stands, I can already do a lot with my wits and Photoshop.... but, I guess this is for folks who're not all that artistic or capable.
The sad part is, that's where i excel.. I can make all sorts of Window graphics.
We need more tools for things that would otherwise require a ton of programming knowledge.(like the 3D Firs person tool that was suggested)
I'm sure it will be great for others though.
If i had a template and an understanding for Mado without having to buying it, I could make extra resources for it for those who want more to work with.
So far, we have gotten 2 tools.. both for an issue that I really never have.
I'm waiting for something... maybe more in depth.. more feature rich I guess?
    Seems neat otherwise.
  11. Mado is honestly overpriced for what it does.
  12. I'm sorry, but I really did not understand the function of this MADO. Would it only change the appearance of the windows? What can you do with images, a transparent windowskin and, at most, a plugin that allows you to use different windowskins in each scene? I'm sorry for the sincerity, but it does not look very useful. Or not enough for it to cost, are easy things to personalize even without the tool.

Yeah, I know it can be useful for a lot of people, but personally I think that would be an incentive to laziness. I mean, why not encourage users to learn programming and design rather than selling to them a ready tool? Of course, the idea is to facilitate the use of the program for anyone without the need of specific knowledge, this is good, very good. But perhaps this facilitation could be directed to the elements more difficult to edit, as was said above.
  13. Looks neat. I will probably pick up SAKAN and MADO since they're bundled at a price cheaper than SAKAN by itself on Steam.

I can understand why so many people don't see the point of MADO, but from my perspective it looks like a simple tool that someone with little artistic knowledge like myself to make unique windows. For someone experienced with software like photoshop, it's worthless, but for someone like me it's definitely worth the bundle price.

I will say it's definitely overpriced by itself though.
  14. What are the new features for the Plugin Manager?
  15. @Archeia
Yeah, I already knew those, because they came last update.
But in the changelog of the MV1.5.1 update it says "Plugin Manager Updated to have new features." as well. Why does it say that when there's nothing new?
  16. I'm going to wait and see how I feel about MADO. I've been interested in some Windowskins but kind of need to see my options before I invest.
  17. Hi,

What about Yanfly patch that fixed the loading screens ? Aren't you gonna report to Degica to made them fix it ?
  18. Btw, i've installed mado and sakan on steam, but i see nowhere of dlc icon to launch.

I've seen people on youtube, it's beside playtest button

I have uninstall, backup, and keep it up to date, but the buttons still not there.

In the plugin manager, click on a plugin that offers for example the true/false option! Now you can simply choose between these two!
Even more not just limited to that! :D No more need to write it every single time.
