So we have to copy the js folder over right? Does this include the "libs" folder inside it as well? (I assume Plugins is not included in the copying procedure)

You shouldn't need to copy Libs as none of that stuff was updated, just the stuff with rpg_NAMEHERE.js. Such as rpg_core.js, and the other ones, it is however recommended to just copy it all (except plugins) anyway to be safe.
I hope you all are enjoying 1.2.0, we are already hard at work with 1.3.0 with some bigger improvements. -
anyone else receiving plugin errors after updating the js folder? im having this:
I copied everything except the plugins.js as mentioned in the steps above.

Maybe im blind or something but where is the refresh button for the plugin manager? Lol I can't seem to find after updating.

Loving the Dark Theme as well as the map zooming, but the tooltips and windows (Database, plugin manager, etc.) are STILL appearing on the wrong screen. It might just be me, but its very annoying. Also, the tooltips also seem to go completely off screen sometimes making them impossible to select anything on them.
EDIT: Saving on my main screen then switching to my second screen seemed to fix the issue apparently. Weird. :S -
Heh, I can make my transparent tiles look like VX Ace's now! Nice!
Also, for some reason the update tweaked my resolution. Not that I'm complaining though since everything is bigger, and for someone who has a large monitor, this is nice! Only thing is putting my maps at Actual Size has them much bigger than before unless it's a small map and I have to scroll to see everything in the tilesets/some bigger maps in order to see everything. -

The editor will now scale the DPI for larger resolutions, so it isn't small and hard to read/deal with. Especially on 4k monitors. (Note: This is only for Windows) -

IKR?! Isn't it cool?

THIS was a huge fix for me. My main PC is connected to my TV via HDMI, and it made VXA and MV a headache to use because the clickable areas of the "OK", "Cancel", and "Apply" buttons only just barely peeked above my taskbar, making time spent in the database a total headache. The DPI scaling feels like shackles being broken. And the dark UI is lovely, definitely a feature I had hoped for on release back in October.
Also, I have noticed a nice bump in speed, at least in the editor. Generating a new project on 1.0 and 1.1 took roughly 30 to 45 seconds on my Phenom II X4/GTX 960/6GB rig, compared to less than 10 seconds now on 1.2. The additions to the Generator were long overdue, increasing the diversity of characters, and they look great. Those three things are the high notes that I've observed so far. My compliments to the development team!
I suspect that those who are "in the know" with Kadokawa are most likely bound by a non-disclosure agreement, but are there any hints or estimated timetable regarding version 1.3.0?
Database seems to have more items in it now, but am I the only one to have these in Japanese?
It's after creating a new project

I am genuinely curious about this, seems as though some stock database information created for the Japanese version of the update found its' way into the English install file. I uninstalled and deleted all of my MV program files so that I could start 1.2 with a clean install and after generating a new project and opening the database, everything is completely normal. No additional entries have been added. Weird. -

As you have guessed we are under NDA, all we can say is "When we are ready". :)
In regards to the expanded/Japanese database, I believe (this isn't fact, I am not in charge of this stuff) since it was heavily requested that the expanded database be translated and given to the non-Japanese users that it was done so, but a bit...early? Probably an oversight by the installation creation guys. Don't take my word for fact though, I'm just a little programmer :p. -

This is the most logical explanation. Though extremely minor, that would be pretty cool. -
Updated and tried the Dark theme. Surprisingly, I liked the white theme better. :guffaw:

Looks to me this will be extremly fun :) Thanks for the update :)

They were there since 1.1.0 though... -
Thank you for this nice update, I already spent some time on it and this is great.
Fixed a bug with memory leaks in the tiling sprite
It seems a bit better (not sure yet after so little testing time).
And I guess the real memory-leak problem (GPU-memory still fills entirely, then uses regular RAM forever until crash) will be fixed in 1.3 with PIXI4.
Keep up the good work guys, and thanks again! :) -
The three bugs that affected me seem to have fixed with this update, yay! My parallaxes are finely not blurry anymore and the tileset memory leak bug that caused terrible lag during map transfers seems fine now. Still a slight lag but i'm sure the Pixi V4 will take care of that. The music lag also seems better. Thanks!

I appreciate the effort that everyone made to keep updating the program, adding features, and fixing bugs, etc. Good job everyone!

Still no Mac installer. :(
