Exhibition Game (single match)

Tournament Game (up to 4 matches)

Different BGM depending on the player's team (exhibition only) and opponent's team.
How to Play
Spoiler

Just kick/push the ball to the goal and press Z/Space/Enter to kick it to the goal.

You can only control 1 character per match.

If the time runs out and if either side don't have either have a goal or a foul, the game won't stop yet.

You can use a jump pass only if you are near either your team member or opponent's member.

Strategy, timing, and luck are the most important things to consider in my mini-game. Don't just kick the ball carelessly, you need to rely on your teammates sometimes.

Q: Where are Team AtoD and Crystal Bond characters came from?

A: Team AtoD are from here and Crystal Bond are from here.

Q: Who are these members and staffs in your mini-game?

A: Just search their names or ask via IRC. Some of them maybe don't want stalkers.

Q: You did not put any pictures in the Mascots Team, forum members and staffs. Why is that?

A: Some members don't want their profile pic (supposed to be my backup if they don't have a community faces) to be posted here. As for the Mascots Team, I don't have their faces.

Q: Why are you using VX when you already have Ace?

A: I'm not yet familiar with eventing on Ace yet, so I made my game in VX.

Q: Are you just making soccer within the beach to make it related to summer?

A: There's really a beach soccer existed in reality but mine is just a little different. Here's the link for proof.

Q: Your game is freaking hard! I don't want to play anymore. Can you reduce the difficulty in this one?

If there are any bugs or anything that is not supposed to put here, don't be scared to comment here. I suggest to have screenshot from that bug.

There are some cases that you can't move because the opponent blocks you, it's not a bug.

If you want to include yourself in my mini-game, be sure to have your own community sprite (until 6:00PM EST only).

Haha, quite a fun little thing ;3 Wouldn't have minded a tutorial though, cus I was chewed up like a fish and spat out like the bones 3:

There's only need for strategy and timing. I think, you don't need tutorials, though because you're only gonna kick the ball to the goal.

Do you need a VX Ace sprite? It's quite easy to make one with the generator. ^^

Oh no, I'm rubbish at soccer D: Time to see how I fare ON THE BEACH. I'm totally gonna play as myself 8D

EDIT: Right, review time.

The game is, frankly, difficult. I feel it takes too long for the introduction, and the game is hardly fair, as you can't properly catch up with the opponent once they've got the ball, and the goalkeeper won't always catch it. I feel it would be a lot better with the option for dashing, maybe try and get it set as the default walk or something.

Also, this may just be me, but the music is kind of cheesy and somewhat annoying. I had to mute the sound .-.

As stated in the questions part, I already have Ace. But no, I don't need a sprite from Ace for now.

If I enable the dashing, there will be bias on the player's side and if I put it also on the opponent, it causes many bugs in my game. As for the long intro, I just want the player to know who are the members of both teams and maybe, I'll shorten the intro. Actually, my game is based on strategy, timing, and luck. And yes, even myself got a hard time defeating the opponent until yesterday where there are strategies for you to score. I'll record a video on how I play my game for stategy basis.

I'm using the default music from both VX and Ace since I only got a few time left before the deadline.

It's still difficult, and it's really annoying trying to chase the ball. I really think you should add a dash option and try and fix the bugs another way.

This is really quite fun - it'd be even better if Captain Jet was a better goalkeeper!! :angry:

It seems my game is really that hard. I updated the game now with smarter keeper, easier opponent but harder in the latter round in the tournament. Also fixed some bugs.

Also now with 10 seconds shorter introduction.

EDIT: It seems both parties have a hard time having a goal. Uploading the game again... It's up now.

EDIT 2: Many updates have been added:
- Renamed akiyuki_shinbo to Teloch
- Added in the Forum Member roster: PK8 and "NYX"
- Reduced difficulty AGAIN.

Wow looks great JG, what would be better is if you could have implemented some sort of stamina system, for dashing in short bursts, used by players/npcs alike. maybe that's too ambitious for the time frame, but nevertheless I really enjoyed it!
