  1. Is the music for this game copyrighted and unable to use for commercial RPGs in the computer makers? I know 3's is available to buy but I have the 2nd game and I like the music so I was wondering
  2. All Musics in all games are automatically copyrighted.

What you're asking for is if the copyright holder has given license to use those musics outside the program itself.

Most likely no, but this board is the wrong place to ask - we do not support the console RPG Makers here, only RMXP, RMVX and RMVXA (and other Degica-Programs) are supported here.
  3. I sure do miss RPG Maker 2! Ah I would pay $200 for a memory expanded pc port.

Well, the audio for RPG Maker 3 was remastered and sold in the store. And the pre-order bonuses, as well as the DS resources, also included remastered audio from the console versions. So it's not out of the question. I'm actually surprised that we haven't seen remasters from RPG Maker 1 and 2 in the store, but I suppose it's also possible agreements were never made.
  5. The consoles 1 had pretty catchy music but until they do sell music for the first two I will have to stick with what XP has
  6. I asked about the first PS RM resources ages ago and was given the answer that it could not be used outside of that setting. I would be very surprised if we got a release of the music separately. Pleasantly surprised, but definitely surprised.
  7. Then my suspicion is right, at the very least XP still has good music(can't say the same for VX)

Unfortunately, this is true. It wasn't just the functionality between the editors that drastically changed between XP and VX, but also the quality in the audio.

RM1, 2 and 3 on the consoles, and 2K, 2K3, and XP for PC all had great tracks. VX, not so much. Ace is a tad better, but still works on the nerves fairly quick. The DS showed great potential, so maybe they can hire whoever did the music for that to do the next PC installment.
  9. It would be nice to see some remastered tracks from previous makers.  Has there been any good remasters of the XP music?  I remember them releasing one in the shop but it sounded like they just ran the midi files through a filter, making them sound almost worse than the originals.
  10. djDarkX has some in Members+, but you have to have Members+ and own RMXP to get and use them. But they are good remasters, although only a handful has been done.
  11. A few tracks have been done in a Restaff as well, if I remember correctly.
  12. You know I actually heard the music from RPG Maker 2 from an Adorlea game recently (Opaline 2) so that makes me wonder
  13. Then you would need to ask Indinera about that. It may be that he made arrangements to allow him to use it, or maybe it's not the track you're thinking of. In any case, as Andar already said, we do not provide support for the console engines.
