RMVX Ace Battle Error during Tutorial

  1. Salutations,

I've only been working with (i.e. fumbling through) RMXV Ace for a few days now, and forgive me I'm no programmer at all. The website's game-making tutorials have been invaluable, but I've run into a significant problem, and I can't figure out if I did something wrong along the way (which is probably the case) or there's some other bug I just don't know about.

When testing the world map and battles for Tutorial #6, I encounter enemies and choose "Fight" just fine, but after choosing to simply attack with all characters, nothing fancy, I immediately recieve the folowing error:

Script 'Skill Set Effects' line 37: NoMethodError occured.

    Undefined method '[]' for nil:NilClass

And then the playest game shuts down.

After googling and searching through these forums, I found no exact reference to this error, although there are some similar. Did I do something wrong, or how do I find out if I did? It's there some aspect of the next tutorial that will fix this for me?
  2. Please check the script again. There has been an error in it, and Archeia has very recently fixed it (in the last day or two).

Hopefully if you just replace the script you have with the version currently on the blog, the error will go away.
  3. This blog, yes? Forgive my lack of knowledge, after going through four or five pages of the blog I don't see anything about this. Where is this script located? And where/how do I replace it; I think I understand the how but I'm not familiar with the where yet.
  4. Blog? You just provided a link to your previous post.

Wherever you downloaded the Set Skill Effects script for the tutorial, go and download it again.
  5. Sorry for the belated thank you, but THANK YOU. (Been busy, grad school and all that jazz.)
