I did watch trihans stream most of the part and did around 20 entries
in total on my own, but there was a few I didn't like, and saw one other
stream that failed my entry (just because I didn't know he used 1 hand
only, something I totally didn't considered to add something for it.
3 buttons at the same time is a bit tricky, so I totally understand him :)
but I think nobody beated my game yet (unless cheated in the latest version).
but I had 2 favorites, and 5 after those that I really liked a lot.
so congrats to all that submitted, played, and beaten every game.
I also learned a thing of 3 out of this jam, to also pay attention for playable
game for disabled peoples with 1 hand.
and I take this one in consideration next time to play it out.

Happy New Year, everyone! ~You are now a decorated forum members!~
I'm still down to give feedback to anyone who wants it. I just had to do my "post holiday vegetation." You know...where you pretend to be a plant because you've been so busy? -
I would love to hear your feedback, please!Happy New Year, everyone! ~You are now a decorated forum members!~

And thank you for the badges, Touchfuzzy and HiddenOne! They're adorable! -
@Trihan
SpoilerReally enjoyed that this was fully voice acted. The writing and cadence is pretty much perfect for an Xmas game. I was not wearing headphones so I cannot diagnose the exact issue without going back to listen more carefully, but it does sound like there was either an issue with how the recording room was treated or not enough done post production to elevate and clean up the sound quality. I know there was no audio category but I also couldn’t help but notice some of the tracks do not loop properly. I didn’t notice it in every track but it was pretty apparent in the jigsaw puzzle because I spent the most time there.
The art was cute and simple. Definitely a few proportion issues but the (literal) toilet joke definitely got me. I think the main issue was actually the emptiness of some of the interior maps. The graphic style is pretty minimal so I think it makes more sense to shave a bit off the dimensions than to load it up with more stuff.
The naughty and nice aspect gives the game a surprising amount of replayability. I did a nice route because I wanted to play the puzzles, but it did make me wonder if there would be dedicated “anti xmas” puzzles for a naughty route. I did find the puzzles fun, though some of them were a little easy in difficulty. I think the puzzle format really works here and I’d definitely love to see it expanded with more naughty options (reading this out of context will be weird).

SpoilerThe thing that really sticks with me about this game is it’s a fully realized town. The writing in general is really quite good. The whole setting was very believable, so unraveling the town being the main game play does work rather well here.
I did think I would run into more scrooges, but maybe I just was very lucky? That was the major thing that stuck out to me gameplay-wise during my run, but I may have missed something in the text…or was very lucky.
The visuals are impeccable. Truly outstanding. The writing was very strong but the tiles and location design really are part of how well-executed the whole package is. It really does send me back in time to a familiar place in my own home town. Rosie’s artwork? Amazing. I would hire whoever you hired. People should hire them.
Just a few audio things I noticed. Again. I know there was no category, but I did notice quite a few of the loops were imperfect. The music choices make perfect sense with the bells, but I do wonder what equalization the author did on them because there is quite a bit of harshness left in the sonic profile, so I did opt to play this one with the audio fairly low. -
Might i trouble you for some feedback too? (I know mine was a mess hahaha)

Same here! I never get to here feedback from the Fish!

Eh, might as well as for the feedback(Since I probably need it). Assuming the offer still stands, of course.Happy New Year, everyone! ~You are now a decorated forum members!~

Haha! I'll get to work. I'll ping you guys when I'm ready. Right now I need to eat this bowl of probably non-approved by Dalph pasta.

Thank you for your feedback, @Ms Littlefish ! Audio is, next to programming, the part of game design that I know least about, so I did definitely phone it in a bit XD None of them loop, in fact, I ran out of time--and bells would actually not have been my first choice, but that artist had all the songs I wanted and I decided to go for consistency first and replace them if I found something more on the order of "Old English."
Rosie's art was done by my friend ClockworkCrane! I won't link her pages on account of the rules, but you can find her on Twitter, or whatever it's called these days.
I am very curious if you made it to the end--my testers never got hung up, but quite a few people who played after it was submitted did. Did you see the end cutscene and credits roll? I know Testosterone, HiddenOne, and bgillisp all hit the glitch. -
I would love to hear your feedback as well, @Ms Littlefish . But don't feel pressured. I appreciate all the time that the judges have already invested.

Oooh sheeeeet. Lemme do it this way. Let's have peeps chime in tonight so I can one shot them in the morning with a piping hot cup of coffee. I underestimated the carb coma I just gave myself and want to sit in front of my fireplace.
@TeiRaven Well...sounds like I must have hit the bug too. Oh noey! That was one curiosity I did have. I thought I had done all the things but couldn't end the game. Was that the glitch? -
Thank you so much! The thing with the narration clips is that some were recorded before I properly figured out which part of my condenser mic I should be speaking into, and I didn't have much time left for rerecording them so there is a noticeable quality shift in the ones I was able to record again.@Trihan

Kytt's been chewing her fingernails to stubs over what people would think of her art, but the overall reception seems pretty positive. This was a new style she was trying and I also think it was cute. With a few more days in the oven to polish it I think she could have knocked it out of the park, but for the time we had and the amount of actual time she had to dedicate in that frame, she should be really proud of what she accomplished, especially as we had completely custom art for the whole thing. :D
I didn't actually check to make sure the music tracks all looped properly, which I really should've done. That's a good point and I'll be sure to pay more attention to that in future jams. :)
I'd actually originally planned at least one more puzzle and five endings (neutral, decent, not great, best and terrible): there was going to be an additional character called Angel Topp and you were supposed to be able to enter both Tim and Miss Teaux's houses, but due to time constraints I scrapped those maps and had to cut down the complexity of the Christmas tree puzzle. What I really wanted to do was make the player have to rotate the pieces into the correct places as well as positioning them, and find a way to randomise the locations they needed to be in, but I ran out of time for figuring out the numbers required to do that and keep it inside the bounds of the tree while also making sure nothing was able to overlap. Maybe for the next update! -
If it's not too much trouble, I would put my name in too, I'ld be happy with as much feedback as I can get.Happy New Year, everyone! ~You are now a decorated forum members!~

Yup, that was the glitch XD I had bungled something up with the events that check if you'd done all your tasks--Rosie was supposed to comment that she could go home any time, but I guess she wasn't ready to!Oooh sheeeeet. Lemme do it this way. Let's have peeps chime in tonight so I can one shot them in the morning with a piping hot cup of coffee. I have a new build up on my itchio (with some issues of its own, namely the speed cheat I forgot to take out) but if you don't want to replay (and after 32 entries, I wouldn't blame you in the slightest XD) Trihan's stream included the ending! This timestamp should be right. -
@TeiRaven I'm old and I can't remember things sometimes, but did I ever mention how much I like your little ghosts in your signature area? They are very cute!

Streaming Finished. I'll post the YouTube video later. Hope my insight helped out.
