République is finally out for Android and I've been loving every second of it.
If you're not playing it yet, why not?
Ryan Payton, founder of Camouflaj, initiated the project because he wanted to "stop complaining about the lack of real games on mobile and start making one"
From some of the developers of Halo, FEAR, and MGS, République is an astounding-looking narrative-driven mobile game with clever gameplay and great use of touchscreen controls. It's also only $3, so there's no excuse.
Doesn't seem like an android game though. Still neat.
Exactly, and that's why I want to get the word out about this game. Right now, most people don't consider mobile a platform for serious gaming, and because of that, devs are shy about making serious games for mobile. So when they do put out a high quality, AAA-class game on mobile, we should encourage it and support the growth of the medium.
Man, so many mobile games are trash (the only reason I have a personal tablet is for reading comics and tabletop rpgs honestly), I'm going to have to try this out. I mean, you know how I feel about stealth gameplay and good story.
Not a fan of touchscreen gaming (plus I don't really use high-specs phone, I only use low-mid range ones since I only really need texting, calling, calendar, notes, music player, radio and alarm functionality), aside from the casual chess... XD and I don't have a computer desk too...
