Just started playing around with the generator when I noticed I couldn't make red haired characters, only pink.
Dug around quickly and found Program Files (x86)\KADOKAWA\RPGMV\Generator\gradients.png
While you can't seem to add new color gradients you can do replacements.
Takes a few seconds using gimp to change a color. Simply select a gradient you want to replace, cut it away leaving a solid line. Then select you light color you want for foreground, and black for background. Pull gradient tool across selected line horizontally and you have a new hair color choice.

Note: The hair colors share gradients with eyebrows, beast ears, and tail.

nice find! I'll finally be able to change out those blues, pinks, and other undesireables!
-
Nice. This was bothering me more than anything else so far. Particularly the lack of a dark brown and dark gray colors.

@Sarah_yt how the hell did you add white to those gradients? i can only do 2 colors at a time when i use gimp.
-
I use FireAlpaca - it's another free art program. Pretty good in my opinion ^_^

so, i've tried editing this myself, but i seem to keep failing. would someone mind making a gradient file that matches the FSM packs? i know there's less brightness/saturation than the default RTP
-
I'll give it a go. :kaopride:
Edit: guuhhh should have actually made sure I had that DLC pack. I don't, but going from what you said about it being less saturation I've done these two. Let me know if they hit the mark or what needs to change:
90% saturation
80% saturation

you can look at screenshots here to give you an idea :) http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/a/graphics/fsm-woods-and-cave-tiles
I am going to test this out right now, i'll let you know! -

Excuse me what file did you place this into? I'm having a hard time finding it

May I ask what file do you place this in? -
@Kopiisketch I merged your two posts, please use the '+quote' option or just @ someone if you want to respond to two people instead of double-posting. You put the gradients image into the generator folder. There should be one there already, so you can replace that one (though you should make a backup of the original so you can replace it later if needed).

This is awesome, I was looking for more skin colors, thank you!
-
What about a light brown? There is either dark pink or medium brown.

Hey hey hey!
Sooooo... QUESTION!
How do you tell what colors are for what? I'm modding the generator to have better colors, and I'm not sure which is which... Help?
