  1. Hello everybody!

Today i am exploring Vx ace and  i found an option name 'Region Editing Mode' does somebody tell me what does its does and what is meant by numbers which is in colour?
  2. These regions are normally for use with the customizable random battle generator found by right-clicking the map name on the bottom-left of the screen. However, they can be scripted to limit move routes, do extra stuff, etc.
  3. thanks
  4. It basically lets you draw invisible regions on the map, which on their own do nothing but other features in the maker can read them...

The colours mean nothing, they're just there so you can easily see where one region ends and another starts if you have them next to each other.

The numbers are the "Region ID".

A basic example of their use would be:

    1. Draw out two regions, one with a Region ID as 1 and the other as 2.
    2. Now go into map properties (right click the map in the list on the left).
    3. On the right of the map properties window you'll see troops, add a new one. Pick slime*2 and select "Specify by region ID".
    4. In the three boxes you can set three regions that these enemies will spawn in. Set region 1.
    5. Add another troop (pick bat*2 this time). This time set the region it'll spawn in to 2.
    6. Now test run the game, run around in the area you set as region 1. It should only spawn slimes. Then run around in region 2 and it should spawn only bats.
Custom scripts tend to make the best use out of them but there are a few things you can use them for in the maker on its own.

EDIT: Ah, I see I was beaten to it :)
  5. thanks it help me in my game
