  1. Hi guys!

New to the forum. Love the software! Just one question. Now I want to be able to use a peice of map as a reference so that I can create a really good world, really large and immersive. Is it possible to import a map and draw over it at all to try and get the look and feel of a real world.

Please see example (This was photoshoped):

    Thanks for your help,

    Kind regards,

  3. Thanks for the reply mate. Just good to get it out of my head so then i cna start working on what needs to be done :)
  4.     What if you were to place the map image into the Parallax folder of the database, choose said parallax for the map you are working on and check the "show parallax in editor" button? I believe that would pretty much get you exactly what you are asking for. (all of these options are done from the map properties tab.) Once you did this it would show in game as well, but for that you'd just remove the parallax option before releasing/playtesting since you'd already have drawn over it as you referenced it anyway.
  5. Google for RPG Maker VX Ace Parallax mapping Tutorial.
  6. Yeah, you can totally do this as Alexander described. Just put it as the parallax background and draw over it.
