  1. Hi everyone!
In my freetime I made some music and I thought that some pieces could be used well in rpgmaker games.

    Nazgard Theme: https://www.dropbox.com/s/erdo183uz3tiye…ard%20Theme.MP3
    A dark fantasy theme.

    DuneRunner: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/244948376/DuneRunner.MP3
A piece which is made for desserts.

    Eishöhle: https://www.dropbox.com/s/a4fgh7wxa0ioi6o/Eishöhle.MP3
A piece for an icy cavern.

    Dungeon 1: https://www.dropbox.com/s/5585behvtms6bqf/Dungeon%201.MP3
    Some standard dungeon music.

    Schlimme Erkenntnis: https://www.dropbox.com/s/sj167p5gw6vsd4…0Erkenntnis.MP3
A piece for a sad scene.
    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/244948376/Schlimme%20Erkenntnis.MP3

    Creeptard: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/244948376/Creeptard.MP3
A piece for a creepy dungeon.

As you can see some of the pieces have german names, because that is my native language (so please excuse bad grammar etc.)

I would like to get some feedback so I can improve :)
All pieces are for non-commercial use only. If you use them, please credit me.

    Greetings Raider
  2. Creeptard is good background music - sometimes the music is so forward it messes with the ability to just enjoy gameplay, so I like that one.

I would commend Schlimme Erkenntnis, except for two things. There is a strange break in the choral sound in the middle; perhaps overlookable. But the percussion at the end makes the piece hard to loop - a necessary element for games.

Dungeon 1 starts with a very tribal kind of beat, but the music is a tone suited to another kind of scene - maybe you used a marimba and choral sound? It seems like one does not go with the other, somehow. Tribal, I think lutes, sitars, that stuff.

Eishöhle - a great tune, but again the percussion bothers me. I love !everything else! but the percussion makes me wonder if the abominable snowman is stomping or something. Otherwise, really excellent. Maybe the percussion could remix with more treble or something? idk.

DuneRunner - I am partial to desert themes. =] This is very fast paced - not quite fast enough for a battle scene but almost like a game or travelling scene (to play while in a vehicle). It would be too much for normal walking around. But I do like it.

Nazgard Theme - very interesting and intense. Could help the right person but would probably need a custom loop to wok in most scenes. (loop after the first 64 counts, until the end, minus the last eight - that's what I'd try - and put it in OGG format for the loop.)

BTW thanks for tagging your post as "Music" - big help!
  3. First of all, thanks for the detailed feedback :)

I will try to improve the pieces with the suggestions you made and try to make them more loopable (hopefully the ogg format will help).

Also I made a new piece, which is for a Steampunk-Town.

Its not that various but I think its quite acceptable as a background theme.

    SteamTown

  4. So I made some new tracks and wanted to share them.

Also I will do a lot more in the near future and will also upload an entire folder of the tracks in .ogg , so that they will loop better :)

Lancer (for a medieval tournament or the beginning of a battle)

Winter Silence (a reassuring piece, reminds of a little snowy village)

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/244948376/WinterSilence.MP3

Tormentor (a more "darker" and "aggressive" piece, good for horror-feeling)

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/244948376/Tormentor.MP3

Space Intervention (a sci-fi theme, for a journey through the space)

    https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/244948376/Space%20Intervention.MP3

Rumble ("oldschool"-ish tune, should remind of older jump 'n runs)

  5. You have a interesting use of rhythm and range of atmosphere.  I think there is a good degree of flexibility in them, so that they are not all just for the suggested use, but could be put into other types of location.  Well done.  If it weren't for the bar on commercial games, I would be using a couple of these, which shows how much I like them.
  6. Oh, I thought that I answered, but I only liked your post. Sry about that ^^''

I'm deeply honored that you would take it into consideration to use them commercially. I would allow it gladly, but sadly it's not up to me. I'm using the Magix Music Maker and sadly I don't own the instrument sounds I use for creating music. For everything commercial I would have to ask each certain composer of those sounds and I think that would be very complicated and with little to no result.

Maybe I will change the software in the near future and use other sounds, so that I can allow to use my tracks commercially. But if that will happen, I'm going to announce it here.

Anyways thanks for your feedback :)
  7. Wow, these are epic! Has anyone used them in a game yet?
