Questions concerning resource packs and customer support

  1. I had a question concerning the audio files packages with the Town of Beginnings and Woods and Caves demo's. My assumption is that these files are not meant to be used in commercial games but the store webpage on this site doesn't say anything against it, which makes it unclear. Some clarification would be nice since I would like to avoid potential legal issues further down the road.

I have not been able to contact customer support using the form to fill out online. Is there an issue with customer support, such as a certain browser I need to use? Or has it been discontinued?
  2. no, the support tickets top left should work.
there are two possible problems here:
    1) time - it is generally said that a ticket might take up to three business days to be answered. If you send in a ticket last thursday for example the time to answer it would be up to monday or tuesday because the weekend days do not count.

    2) some specific email adresses tend to be ignored by the ticket system, and the people at degica never found the reason for this. If you're already past the three days, try to send the ticket with an email from a different provider.
  3. The manual_EN.pdf file states this:

    ◆ Points of Caution
The sample game has, for certain effects, assets from RPG Maker MV and assets that are sold on other sites. Because they are not part of this product, please do not use them.
All of the assets offered in this product are in the “material” folder, so please only use those.

Therefore, if the audio files are not contained in the material folder, you will not be able to use them in your game. If they are not in the default RMMV resources, it means they are for-sale assets potentially from other sites, and you would not even be able to use them if your game was free.
  4. @Shaz Was that from Woods and Caves? Just asking, because my version of the guide for Town of Beginnings does not state that, but the Woods and Caves manual does.

However, I would think that one should use caution and follow that statement for all FSM packs.
  5. OK thanks, that was my assumption. I did the guide, it may have been the ToB guide, and didn't see anything about it.
  6. @mlogan it is in the manual file, not the guide file. It is in Town of Beginnings manual_EN.pdf
