I can't use Game Character Hub for Mac purposes although I do wonder what the most efficient way of recoloring select parts of an item would be. I've been using the threshold feature to get my main character's vest as seen in my avatar to be brown rather than black and I also made the red on the princess dress purple. Now if there's multiple colors or decorative pieces...

I can see that being a set in itself, "Gypsies, Bards and Thieves".

    Hmm... Veils...

    Spoiler
When the Assassin's guild has a day off. LOL. (Top table males, bottom table females. Not sure if they will actually be in game.)

  2. I've been thinking about this for a couple days, but should we start a group, or a topic, to actually post screenshots of our projects, and, assuming we all purchased the packs, share some of out "common" content, or personal add-ons, and quick sheets? I know it can get to being a grey area. If we had enough people, maybe pull off our own Arum featuring HF.

(those not familiar, Arum is the RPG Maker shared universe group further down in the forum).
  3. I'm not sure how one could prove they legitimately purchased the packs. What comes to mind is requiring people to upload a video of them reviewing their RPG Maker store account(or Steam when it ends up there) and showing that they have actually purchased the resources. There's plenty of free video recording software for anyone who doesn't have any.

I am sure somebody would find a way around this somehow but it seems like it would help keep it genuine. The issue is I don't think the EULA allows for this.

I definitely like the idea of sharing plugins, screenshots, and if we cant share the quick sheets themselves, then we should definitely share a guide on what pieces we used to make them.
  4. If we both owned a DLC, and we both did different edits to it, we could share them with each other because we both own the base file. It's going along the lines of the old RTP packs. You can't claim ownership or try to sell any edits. It's a nasty grey area, to be sure. Maybe we can at least start with a screens topic where we add screens as we go into posts, or have small things like, "Build an Assassin" and tell what parts we used.

I know many look at HF and go, that's totally out of portion for the engine, which it is, but when you use it right, it looks great.
  5. I like the idea of a topic for building things. I've been trying to edit a castle gatehouse together for example. Once I figure out a good method I could share how its done. So far my edits look kinda bad though xD

Also I much prefer the Western fantasy style. I never cared for the JRPG style. I'll be doing an SRPG when some more packs come out. Tactical combat combined with freedom of movement in the game world. Basically the grid loads in when you come upon an enemy encounter and it becomes a strategy combat scene.
  6. You got all the castle parts? I can probably come up with some. I'd assume a towered gatehouse, and not just a gate entrance.
  7. I have both castle folders, and yes indeed a towered gatehouse is what I was aiming for. I bought the bundle on day one of release xD I was so excited.
  8. this is a rough one, and the gate is the interior door oversized. The doors are probably on the wrong side of the tower too for what you want.

  9. That looks nice. I've been trying to figure out how to make one with the castle type 2 folder xD. I should have specified.

Not quite as pretty. I can move the left tower to even it a little better.
  11. Oh awesome. I hadnt tried using the gate from castle type 1 as an archway : D thanks ^^

Sounds epic. Good luck with that.

@deilin: Great job with that gate so far.

As for the PV universe, I wish I could help but my game is also based on my own world I'm also writing as an aspiring author.
  13. I've been doing worldbuilding for several weeks for my project. I'll gladly contribute other work(I've got 10 years of writing and a binder of ideas under my belt) if the idea of a joint world really takes off though.
  14. What they did with Arum, is Arum is the world. people claimed a section of the land in the world to build their game story in. there are some hard-set rules, like, cant kill another authors main characters in your story type things, but you can reference events in another authors stories, and how it may have effected your games story.

Author A has a kingdom with a prominent trade port, but for a while, the port gets sieged and ruined.

Author B has a small land not to far from Author A, and usually has to import most of its needs. When the port is taken out of commission, famine and hardship spread across this author's land.

Another instance, in my game I'm working on, there is a large organization across all the lands referenced as 'Guild.' While not normally considered a military organization, they work within various kingdoms borders, taking on tasks, for money, that local militia can't handle, don't want to handle, or the military just doesn't care to handle. A group like that could appear in multiple lands, or even a common enemy, like "The Hoards" that live in lands no longer considered Civil, and they raid various kingdoms, pillaging items and people, who are lucky if they are enslaved.
  15. That is super neat.

Anyone got some good examples of how to use the castle type 2 pieces? I'm just not sure how to utilize the wall and tower pieces. I imagine you could also build keeps with them but I'm still learning to parallax map so I'm drawing a blank here.
  16. The way I was looking at castle 1 and castle 2 is like this.

Castle 2 is the inner-most walls, housing the keep and barrack.

then outside those walls is the immediate Town.

Beyond the town is the castle 1 pieces, and outer most walls.

But even when messing with the castle 2 pieces to make that gate, the towers are "small" in comparison to the wall pieces, making the towers a bit hard to use IMO with the walls. As it was, I actually cut down the wall images height a bit, thinning the manned section on top, to make it ratio a little better.
  17. Yeah I'm having some trouble getting the scales right.
  18. Does anyone know how to use the cliffs properly? The tiles for the right side of the cliffs don't really align:

Same for the right inner corner:

  19. I'm at work, so I can't show now, but I used the overlap feature to even it out a little appearance wise.
  20. May have solved my gatehouse issue. I feel like the arch is a bit high though.
